In short: Brilliant for PBs
In full: I had heard this race was fast and they were not wrong - scorcher. I absolutely loved everything about the race (apart from the long walk to the buses afterwards). Brilliant scenery, good organisation and nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to anyone new to running or someone wanting to bag a PB. Brill!

In short: much improved on last year
In full: Better route and organisation than last year. However, my split timings are totally wrong. I also checked the fastest runner in my category V45 who was timed as being at the finish earlier than he was at 20miles - unless he can time travel, just not possible! Apparently they're sorting this but I'm annoyed about it. I got a PB and thought the timing would be accurate in a chip timed event.

In short: Great scenery, great organisation, great race
In full: I enjoyed the 'feel' to this race; good communication, active forum, friendly, runner orientated and organised. The course covers a variety of terrain, some of it challenging, some of it fun, and it did keep me interested all the way around. The views were good, the marshals were fantastic and I couldn't fault the organisation. I'd defo do it again.

In short: An excellent marathon, well organised, scenic & friendly
In full: I have done quite a few marathons around the world; this one had a good feeling. I particularly enjoyed how easy it was at the start - no fuss getting belongings into the baggage area etc, so an unstressful start. Runs through some nice villages - v picturesque - cant say I thought any of it was rough or ugly. I got a PB so the few hills couldnt have been too much of an obstacle!
