In short: A good run - no complaints - and a PB! In full: The first 6 miles are level or down-hill so this part of the race is relatively fast. The slight up-hills come after that, so you tend to slow down a little from this point. 110m elevation gain means it is not as flat as the Gosport half (along the sea front), but considerably less hilly than the Basingstoke half. Plenty of under-passes and cycle-tracks to keep you away from traffic for long sections. Quite a small event with just under 1,000 runners. Perfect organisation.
In short: A funtastic event In full: I really enjoyed this event, the runners and crowds lift you and speed you along a lot faster than your practice runs. Well organised and friendly - a great day. Date of review: October 10, 2012
