In short: A special race
In full: A good race for runners and fun runners a like. All the money goes to a good cause so its a lovely race to be a part of. Chip timing, sports massage, bag drop, all you would expect from a club race. The support around the start and finish was amazing, really really good and suprising, I think anyone would enjoy it, well marshalled too. I'll definitely try and run it again.

In short: Well worth the effort
In full: I thought this was a well organised, smooth race. Got there 9.45 no problem, asked a car park marshal where the actual start was and got a helpful reply, easy. Friends had warned me it was bit narrow for the first couple of miles and towards the end so as it was a PB attempt I made sure I started closer to the front. Expected finish time markers would have been useful for a race of this size especially with lots of beginners around, shame there wasn't a starting horn or hooter would have made for a better atmosphere witha teh crowds of spectators at the start, bottles were great but they did seem a bit short of volunteers, I thought the support around the course was also pretty plentiful, and I thought the route was pretty scenic, ceratinly a lot better than I was expecting and arrow markers on the floor seemed adequate, I'd definitely do this again.

In short: Well worth the journey from Nottingham
In full: Brilliant race, friendly runners and supporters, great atmosphere and great organisation, a largish field but still personal. I'm sure there were more showers and sponges than London and yet it was only half the distance, well done Freckleton, it was much appreciated. Only negative comment would be miles 10-12 which were pretty boring scenery wise along the road, however the first 10 were glorious so I won't hold it against what was otherwise a great day out. I'd definitely recommend to runners with families and kids for a weekend away.

In short: For a race all on roads its still very pleasant
In full: Great organisation, could be a little more pre race info on the net. Liked the earlier start time for heat, lack of traffic and car parking - a nice event for pushing yourself.

In short: Excellent, will definitely be back
In full: Great scenery, atmosphere and organisation, although undulating there were plenty of downhill stretches for the legs to recover on which was a bonus, I'd choose this over London anyday.

In short: As any 20 miler goes - brilliant
In full: Very good organisation, can't really fault it and the weather too! Marshalls were great, I'm sure it can't be that fun stuck out in the middle of no where for so long - it really is appreciated. I thought maybe it was just me but I'm glad to see that everyone else noticed the worms! Quilted loo roll in the ladies was a very pleasant suprise and the goody bag was well thought through too, Thanks Reading Road Runners

In short: Good, challenging and well organised race
In full: The parking was initially off putting but was actually very slick, with no wait at either end. Given the size of the village and what Yaxley have to work with, I think they did a brilliant job. Crowd support was good, PB by means of the unusual distance, only suggestion would be just afew more toilets.
I'm not sure how they managed to have me finishing 6 and a half mins after I actuallly did but even so I would still recommend the event.
