In short: You can't control the weather but you can make allowancves for it In full: Rutland Water is a lovely location and as always us runners created a good atmosphere. However, from start to finish it felt like this event was run on a shoestring. The weather was appauling, this is clearly not the fault of the organisers. BUT it was forecast and there was no provision at all. A small tent at the end to collect goodie bags. Then you were left to sort yourself out the weather was forecast and a minimum requirement was space blankets to help the runners. Better still a marquee with a tea or coffee and somewhere to change. But I guess this would have eaten into profits too much! We were left changing in the toilets with no seats which was no easy task. In summary, it felt like the organisers crossed their fingers and hoped the bad weather wouldn't come...it did. I would love to do this on a nice day but would think long and hard as this is England and November Date of review: November 4, 2012
