In short: A good beginners race for a worthwhile cause - St Giles Hospice In full: A worthwhile race particularly if you're new to running. The distance this year (Dec 2012) was only actually 4k and not 6k as advertised ! There was good attendance and generally a warm atmosphere there. Apart from the distance cock-up I'd say that it was well organised and plenty of information sent out in advance to you. If you're new to running or just want a quick run on a Sunday morning to help raise funds for a good local charity then this is worth attending and I will be there next year ! In short: A fairly easy 5 miles course with only mild inclines. In full: A good race if you want to keep the extra calories at Xmas at bay ! Parking and changing facilities are good and well attended by various clubs. Perhaps not the most scenic of routes although part of it is through a small park. Venue is easy to reach and overall not bad for £10 - race times are on the clubs website within 24hrs. Date of review: January 4, 2013
