In short: Potential to be a great race - but too expensive & no medal
In full: The route itself is a good one, and on any other day, I'm sure it would be beautiful. But the rain & cold made it truly miserable. The marshalls around the course were great, firing out encouragement.

The downsides for me :
* Far too expensive for a small event
* No medal
* No toilets at start - they were closed at Sykes Lane.
* 20 minute walk to start is too far
* Course clocked at 26.45 miles
* No contingency for poor weather - no undercover protection at the finish.
* Inadequate bag store (only a small carry bag accepted) - especially in that weather, when lots of dry/warm clothes would have been required.

In short: Wet, muddy, tough, memorable
In full: This was my 2nd RTT and had a great time. Yes it was tough, far muddier than last year but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Organisation was excellent - the beer tent was a welcome sight at the finish, if not a little pricey. A definate fixture in the race diary.

The pasta party was a joke though - £5 for mediocre portion of warm pasta. Far, far to expensive, no where near enough, hence the massive queue and the chippy afterwards! Either make it better value, by giving larger portions with a piece of fruit and a bottle of water or charge less, much less !! I could have fed our entire 20 strong club contingent for less than a tenner!!

In short: Another great & memorable race
In full: Thank you to the organisers for having a word with the bloke upstairs and stopping the rain & hail ! ;-)

A great, truly memorable race. Beautiful countryside, excellent organisation, great atmosphere but OMG killer hills. Who needs an ice bath when you can drop yourself in the lake!

In short: Marathon : excellent organisation, great support, penny pinching goodies
In full: The positives are, as always, the organisation was impeccable and the support from the crowd and marshalls in particular was great. Thanks to the Marshall at 25 miles who gave me his bottle of water. Leicester is a definate one for the diary from now on.

On the negatives, dissapointing not to see any stalls selling running related kit - only a burger stall and an ice cream van in attendance.

Most dissapointed not to receive a cotton tshirt as in 2009 (that was a great tshirt), especially as the was no goody bag! A bottle of water, a banana and a generic medal (same for half and marathon). Smacks of penny pinching.

In short: 10 secs gained in the early mile is a minute lost at the end.
In full: A good race, and I'd forgotten how undulating this course was. The good bag and t-shirt were good.

My mediocre performance is however insignificant compared to the poor runner receiving CPR near the finish (and another runner in the recovery position further up the road). I can't comment as closely as the previous poster. What I can say is that the St Johns were running in the opposite direction, I can only assume to get suitable equipment. I can say also, that at our own 10K race, we paid for a paramedic. I truly hope that the guy was ok?

In short: 5th time running - best yet - pb again :-)
In full: This is the 5th consecutive year running nottingham, and it is definately the best it's been this year.

Plenty of marshalls, water, drinks etc. A very nice goody bag, nice medal.

It is an expensive race by comparison with others, but it doesn't seem to put people off.

In short: Excellent race - one for the diary.
In full: A glorious day, excellent organisation, great course, 5 water stations, technical tee, nice goody bag, 2 VERY steep hills, but the rest of the course is pretty fast.

In short: Wet & hilly - but excellent!
In full: The heavens opened for about 5 miles - ok I'm wet now - you can stop raining !

A challenging undulating/hilly course - well marshalled - how loud was the start pistol !

Not a PB but a course best for myself by 7 minutes.
