In short: Loved every step.
In full: Few miles on the flat followed by a couple of miles up then a couple down. Hang on to the top of the hill then hammer it for the last six miles. Loved it.

In short: Glad I did it but not really impressed.
In full: This is a famous old curcuit and well worth worth the journey to get onto the track itself. You'd think there was no chance of getting lost but I know of at least one unfortunate who managed it.

Three laps gave an oportunity to have more water stations, surely two on each lap was possible.

The registration, which everone had to complete on the day took an age with very long queues and after that we were left to make our own way to the start with no aid from any of the officials. A simple direction sign would have been nice.

£16 gets you a pair of socks and carb gel. Hmm not exactly fantastic value, do these poor triathletes have to pay through the nose for every event?

As I said, glad I did it but for me it's a definate one off.

In short: Another cracker
In full: Once again enjoyed this race. The eight mile hill is a bit tough but you have to pay for the last mile and a half being a very fast downhill run to the finish.

PB for me, see you next year for another.

In short: One of the friendliest races you could wish to enter.
In full: Compared to the last couple of years the famous goody bag was a little light. Maybe the Muller pot is getting a bit low as far as sponsorship of the race is concerned, but to be fair it's still a good bag and the entries have rocketed. It's a lovely medal though, better than a lot of 'major' events, and the medal will still envoke the memories after the goody bag is long forgotten.

A few problems at the start, but only because competitors seemed very unwilling to follow the marshals requests. I'm sure he said move back 10 yards not stand still and look dumb!

A bit of a queue in the rain at the finish but that just gives you chance to talk to your other participants. Couldn't even see the showers though which was a bit annoying.

I'm making this sound really bleak aren't I? It wasn't though, it's a fantastic race in a lovely area with fantasic people running and organising. The problems really were very minor compared to what was in all other aspects a really well organised day.

Thanks Tim see you next year.

In short: disapponited
In full: I was expecting a flat course, but got uphill. I was expecting multiple laps, but got point to point. Was expecting a T Shirt, but got nothing.

OK, so it was one o'clock on a July afternoon it was never going to be easy. Yes it was very hot but you have know your own limitations and back off a bit on days like these.

Organisers and medics did really well on the day. Well marshalled, safe but expensive.

In short: Great race to be a part of.
In full: If you only do one race a year this is the one to do. Friendly, picturesque, quick, well organised and the now famous Muller goody bag. Other organisers should take note!
...and on a personal note, another PB, by a big margin too.
My only concern is that the event may become a victim of it's own success. 230 last year over 600 this year, how many runners can the organisers cope with and keep control?

In short: second attempt and probably last
In full: Nothing really special about this race, not even a T shirt this year unless you want to pay extra for one. £8 is expensive for a malt loaf and that's all we got. Well marshalled though as is usually the case in Wrexham AC events. Shame the sponsors couldn't join in the spirit.

In short: Simply excellent!
In full: Admittedly help by glorious sunshine, Market Drayton is a chocolate box town. Lovely architecture steeped in history, and worth a visit anyway.

Organisation really was spot on and the fact that there was at least one marshall at EVERY junction, and they weren't afraid to stop the traffic, made the course as good as traffic free.

Cheered on all the way around and at the finish a really tremendous goody bag. Then there was the kids fun run, hot showers, ample parking, more yogurt than you could shake a stick at and the fact that not only my daughter made a new friend while I was running my PB but my wife did too. Just shows the type of day we had.

Fantastic. See you next year.

In short: Friendly and accessable
In full: Enjoyed this even with a cold. Out and back course meant you could see the leaders in full flight, a novelty for a rear of the field runner like me. Good day out.
