In short: Challenging, nice course, well organised
In full: Lots and lots of people gave up their time to make this a good race for the runners, many must have been completely soaked too. Good on them. Not a fast race but a very well organised community event with a good mix of people. Congratulations on adding this to the marathon calendar.

In short: A proper race
In full: Great to have a non-corporate event in a part of the country with few marathons. The weather is unlikely to be good at this time of year but it adds to the challenge and it's a genuinely enjoyable, well organised race. Definitely one to return to.

In short: Best race of the year
In full: Tougher conditions than usual due to wind and a slightly higher tide than is ideal. But nothing takes away from a race which is a little bit different from the norm. Not to be missed.

In short: Good hard training run but not for people who want it on a plate
In full: Super marshals, liked the goody bag and low entry price. The 3 lap format works well. The weather was no one's fault. This sort of event is a useful part of the calendar as the spring mara season approaches.

In short: Good intro to ultradistrance, but the weather was cheeky
In full: Organisation and enthusiasm are first rate. The wind made this a tougher race than last year so good training in mental fortitude. I will be back

In short: Great day out, can we do it again?
In full: Terific organisation and support, a faster course than it looked on paper, very enjoyable and the weather was ideal. This would be a good addition to the calendar. Thanks to all involved.

In short: Gets better each year, and the conditions were as good as they could be
In full: My 4th time and the best conditions yet, very low tide and a tail wind made it short and fast, dealing with some of those gates is am improvement; the finish in the middle of the beach is great and overall it's my favourite race so I will be back. Given the quality T short it's very good value by current standards too.

In short: Potential for fast times, and nice to be by the sea
In full: The contrast between the whiff of chip fat and the tang of the sea and the miles of beach works well. Blackpool is busy and bystanders were very supportive. A relaxed and friendly race, this would be good for a first HM but whan the HM finished the mara field was thin and you might need to be able to run for miles alone. There could perhaps have been more loos at the start but you could say that of most races. Above all, it's a pretty flat course and the time of year gives real PB potential. More enjoyable than I expected and the welcome at the finish line from smiling marshals made it a pleasure to cross the line.

In short: Ideal ultra intro on a fast course
In full: A good entry level ultra, the laps are the right length to make pitstop/feeding strategy simple, it seemed to fly by and the surroundings are attractive. Perfect weather helped. Can't fault the organisation and the enthusiastic marshals and officials.
