In short: fantastic fantastic fantastic
In full: How many times can I say the word fantastic? Glorious scenery. Excellent venue - lovely having the camping and all the indoor facilities on site. And what a lovely place Cartmel is! We're definitely coming back, trail run or no trail run. Soo glad we went. Put me down for next year!

In short: A fantastic new addition to the lakeland trails. Some challenging bits to run. More fantastic scenery than you can shake a stick at. I'm going back next week and I've signed up for as many of these as I can for next year already.
In full: Warning - these runs could put you off road running in town forever!!!

In short: Absolutely beautiful run. The highlight of my running year. Exceptional scenery and organisation. Lovely additional touches of steamer ride first and meal to finish. Fantastic.

In short: A lovely race, despite being 2 laps. Nice variety of terrain and views. Good mix of inclines/descent/flat bits. Very scenic.
In full: I will definitely add this to the calendar for next year. Scenic. Good goody bag (mug, a small water bottle which is a cute size I've never seen before, and a banana or a tangerine). Friendly folk. Excellent spot prizes. Someone in the toilet queue before the race grumbled a bit about the lack of loos but unless the numbers grow this shouldnt be a problem as the queue moved quite quick. Cafe to have a cuppa and a cake in afterwards overlooking the lake. Thoroughly enjoyable

In short: As ever, an excellent event from the lakeland trails team. Something for everyone.
In full: This is a fabulous event. If you've ran distance runs and/or trails before do this run! Heat, sunshine and a new route made this year a bit tough tho. So be realistic about the distance and the climb, enter the challenge that sets off two hours earlier and you'll have a whale of a time. Dont aim for a PB, just enjoy the view and the company. It really is ok to walk uphill - Graham says so!

In short: My first and probably only marathon. I loved it.
In full: The Marshalls were plentiful and incredibly supportive. The locals were friendly and supportive also. The organisation was like clockwork. The facilities at the start and finish were great, including reasonably priced physio. There were plenty of water stations with loverly sugary kendal mint cake. There was also loads of opportunity for friends to drive to various spots on the course to cheer you on more than once. Couldnt fault it. If I ever wanted to do another marathon distance I would definitely do this one again.

In short: As ever, a fantastic race, but with the added bonus's
In full: Ride on the steamers with live music makes it extra special. Almost had a tear in me eye waving back at those running along from an earlier sailing. Fantastic. A must do race, but dont expect a PB as its a bit hard (but worth it) and there are a few bits where you cant get past slower runners. Glorious autumn scenery.
