In short: The Power of Advertising Over Utter Rubbish In full: With a race at a football stadium you would expect there to be an abundance of facilities ie toilets. If you stood in one place long enough, you would be asked to move out of the way of the queue for toilets. Mens and womens! You are asked to turn up in plenty of time. Fair enough, but (every year) you are not allowed into the stadium to get out of the rain or cold weather etc, or use the non existent facilities! Just hang around outside and wait and wait and wait! There may be 'toilet humour' in this message, that's if there were any! Date of review: April 7, 2014
In short: A fast course, it does rely on the favourable wind/weather conditions In full: If Notts AC could sort there web site out, it would be far far easier to enter and check results and be able to get information etc. Date of review: June 8, 2013
In short: An amazing roller coaster ride of extreme emotions. In full: A hard and punishing run up, but an absolute roller coaster ride, adrenalin junkie, 'flying by the seat of your pants', run coming down.
This is the type of race 'us' road runners need to experience. It can be hard (very), scary at times (yes), but the 'rush' on the way down sprinting hell for leather, whilst searching for every step is amazing. Date of review: September 22, 2008
In short: Yes it's worth it. In full: When you are trying to make time up, on the way down, it tests your lactic threshhold pace. Please, on hill races, a course profile in my view, is as essential as the course map. Date of review: September 3, 2007
In short: Mile markers? You maybe lucky In full: Did the full. Really needs to start earlier, (1st off, before 10k and half)
How do you run a race without mile markers? I know they went missing. How about spray paint on the roads or grass, any d*** where. The last marker I saw was at 22!!, after that nothing. Which, from then on in, it starts to get tough, but without markers??!!
Flat? mmmmm , about 95% dont be fooled.
Those wind turbines are there for a reason. They are not a garden feature! I forever seemed to be running into the wind. Date of review: September 11, 2006
