In short: Nice scenery, lots of company all the way round, good organisation In full: The middle part of the race is fairly boring, running around residential streets. The start and end along the banks of the Ness are gorgeous. The folks of Inverness turned out in fair numbers to cheers us on and the marshalls were friendly and encouraging. Disappointed that cars were allowed to travel *both* ways along some parts of the route where there were no pavements - VERY dangerous. T-shirt wasn't worth getting to be honest, and I'd rather have an op-out for it and pay less for my race entry. The end is psychologically challenging because you can hear the announcer in the stadium, yet can't see the stadium and still have 1 mile to run when you cross the start line. Would be better if they had ChampionChip or similar. Date of review: March 15, 2005
