In short: hard going but enjoyable
In full: didn't like the start, got a bit crowded and I am always wary of running at Stratford Racecourse after twisting ankles in the past here but once onto the Greenway it was a good solid run with just enough climbs to knock the breath out of you. Shame it was scheduled for the same day as the Macmillan ride as tempers got a bit frayed between cyclists and runners at some points but all in all definately one I would run again. PS. Pretty decent goody bag as well - sausages - lovely - way better than some rank old juice box anytime!!

In short: great end to the weekend
In full: loved this race! Great organisation and atmosphere. this was my first 'multi terrain' race and was an ideal introduction. Definately will be back next year come rain or shine!

In short: traffic jam in and out spoilt the day
In full: hadn't done this half for a few years after the car parking fiasco so was gutted to spend almost an hour getting in AND out. Being 5'2" I got a bit freaked out at the start being jammed in because of the delayed start and even though I was running under 9 min miles couldn't keep track of the pacer. Got my random goody bag and the biggest T shirt in the world and limped off - Never again!!!

In short: great local race - not quite the pb potential I hoped for
In full: Good race and fantastically supportive marshals. Was a bit too twisty and turny for me and I don't much like running alongside the finish line when there is still quite a way to go but thats just me. Nice touch with the eco bag and mug at the end. Definately will be back next year and trying harder now I know what to expect. Well done to Evesham Vale Runners.

In short: just doesn't get any easier
In full: great race but it just doesn't get any easier. No real killer hills but there seems to be more ups than downs. Thanks to John from Stratford Athletic club for joining me for the last couple of miles when I needed to a move on. Will be back next year to try a bit harder

In short: could have run back quicker
In full: Took forever to get going over the start line and then ground to a halt again to squeeze through the gates. The crowd support was fantastic pretty much all the way - especially at the end when you needed it. The finish line let the whole thing down unfortunately. 1) it took ages to get past the timekeepers and its not fun coming to a sudden stop and queuing - did start to feel a little fuzzy 2) Didn't appreciate the old marshalling bloke yelling 'keep moving' right down my ear - I WAS TRYING TO!! 3) Had to ask where the medals/t shirts were - the queue was horrendous but I saw a medal lady doing nothing and got in there quick 4)Asked a marshall where to get the bus, sent me to the wrong place on other side of castle for 1/2 hr wait. Eventually another marshall come over and sent us to the front where 1 1/2hrs after finishing I got back to the car park in Warwick - cold, sweaty and fed up. Its a shame but I probably won't doing this again - its getting too big and the organisation isn't coping.

In short: not really that flat race I was expecting and no goody bags left!
In full: Not as flat as I was expecting but no real killer hills. Nice finish through the town but hated the final uphill bit. Was not impressed by the lack of goody bags - after all there were no entries on the day so the organisers knew how many would be needed! Really appreciated the supporters on such a wet day and marshalling was good. Will be back next year but definately won't be parking in the field, it took over 3/4 hr to get out!

In short: Greenway never gets any easier
In full: Second time at this marathon and enjoyed every minute of it - even the final slog down the greenway. Great medal this time. Support was fantastic especially at Luddington - the man with the stereo is an angel! Will stick to the half next year though.

In short: loved the half - will be back for full marathon 2006!
In full: Fantastic organisation and support all the way round - made all the difference. I will definately do this as a full marathon next year. Cark Park B a bit of a pain to get into but fast to get out of!

In short: plenty of uphill but down hills to match, lovely weather and looking forward to next year
In full: loved it - very scenic - and for the size of the village there was loads of support. Definately will be back next year
