In short: Wonderful race, very helpful pacers
In full: Fantastically organised race, couldn't ask for more. The pacers were particularly helpful and supportive. Will be back in the future!

In short: Not a normal half-marathon; a good introduction to orienteering
In full: Very well organised "mass-start" orienteering event, which basically means that there are people to follow if you get confused with the map reading (but you do still have to navigate, otherwise you could end up following someone going the wrong way!). The best park in london to do it in but it does involve a few hills, including one right at the start. A very good event if you're looking for something different from normal running races.

In short: Good, low key race with PB potential
In full: Good local race, well marked (a previous commenter needs to look harder for the k markers, there was definitely one every kilometre!) but definitely low-key.

In short: Astounding organisation, amazing atmosphere, lovely people and beautiful runs - all within 30 miles of central London
In full: Starting at Hampton court and finishing 2 miles from Hampton court, but going the long way round, this 220 mile relay is a very special race. The atmosphere is excellent and all the teams help all the runners round. Due to the small field on each leg (about 30 runners) it isn't for complete beginners, but anyone happy with running 10-15 miles should enjoy themselves. The club that organise it, Stragglers, deserve massive congratualtions and respect - it is a logistical triumph and a wonderful weekend

In short: Perfect for a speedy off-road race
In full: It is lovely to be off-road, but still be able to run fast. The trails this race is run on are hard, so I don't reckon you lose much time over tarmac races. The atmosphere and organisation are great, this is one to do time and again. Thanks to the organisers for another enjoyable race!

In short: Efficiently organised London 5 miler
In full: A fairly low-key race in Finsbury park, but a nice run and well organised. Very good T-shirt (anyone who missed it should have read the race instructions more carefully!) and a pleasant run; a few hills but that makes the racing all the more fun.

In short: Sets for bar for local races
In full: For a local race I don't think you can get better than this. The organisation is better than I imagined possible at anything less than the London Marathon, the course has PB potential (not pancake flat but keep you interested), the goodie bag + t-shirt was excellent quality and the website/information is second to none. Congratulations and thanks to the organisers!

In short: Small, well-organised race
In full: First time I've done this race, and I was impressed at the organisation - everything was very smooth. A fairly small field (around 200) and a tough course meant I found myself worryingly near the front, but the marshals and course marking were spot-on. There are enough hills to ensure that PB's are unlikely, but it makes for a good training race. Well done to the organisers!
