In short: My first Marathon and Brighton made it very special thank you.
In full: This was a well organised race with the organisers really taking on board exactly what long distance runners need. Water stations all over the place, gels and drinks in abundance, smiley encouraging marshalls, good mileage markers/kilometre, except for 20/21, was that to put your mind off the 20 mile WALL syndrome ?? Worked for me, did not hit the wall, was so full of water and gels my body forgot to throw a 'hizzi' fit. First time marathon runners would do well to choose this as their debut, thoroughly enjoyable, well done Brighton.!!

In short: Well organised, great antlers, flashing nose,tee-shirt,medal,hot chocolate and mince pie !!!
In full: Really really enjoyed this run, easy to get to, easy to park, marshalls could not have been more friendly and helpful. Started on time, course well marked with marshall all over the place cheering you on. Scenery would have been fabulous, lots of lakes and even a canal, the fog didn't allow us too good a view. The course was virtually flat and on good paths so able to maintain a good speed. At the end, we got a bottle of water, lovely medal, large hot chocolate and delicious mince-pie to round it all off. Will def.come back next year, good cause and very good value, might be able to enjoy more of the lovely scenery. Highly recommended. A half-marathon would be great at this venue.

In short: Great day out, fabulous venue, parking easy right on site, food, loos music , super run, some along the Thames, well organised, excellent
In full: This is a very special run, organised by local caring people for excellent causes. Venue is scenic with water features ie: sort of a canal with ducks and swans and herons ?! Great food and even beer and wine available for those in need afterwards ! Fantastic band were playing virtually the whole time on stage with everyone dancing, small kids and even an 'oldie' bopping in his wheel chair. Stalls selling all sorts to raise money, all in all more than just a race, more of a nice day out !!! Will def. do it again.

In short: Sparkly day, beautiful park and 2000 very enthusiastic Santas, super way to spend a Satuday morning in December !
In full: Really enjoyed th race, very well run and efficient although at the finish it took a while to collect water, bars and very shiny chunky medal. The course was very flat so P.B material if you could muster up the energy wearing a very "warm" santa suit. Marshalls were good, public was rather surprised to see so many Father Christmases plodding along in the sunshine, supportive, never the less. Wore my suit all the way home on bus and tube !!!! Great run for beginners.

In short: Beautiful scenery, well organised, goodcause, great for beginners, no pressure !
In full: This was a "local" run for me and well worth the short walk from home up to Ponds Square. The warm up was good and the walk down through the village to the start on Hampstead Heath very enjoyable in the sunshine. There are lots of coffee shops and restaurants in Highgate so one could easily spend a few hours here, even visit Karl Marx if you felt like it !!!! The race itself was well marshalled with water at the beginning and the end and although a few ups'and downs' along the way,the views took your mind off the burning calves. A happy mix of serious runners, first timers, kids, dads with buggies, dog walkers they all did well and it was a nice way to spend half an hour in the sunshine on a Sunday morning. Would reccommend......
