In short: Fast course but very dependent on weather
In full: Nice flat course with a great downhill start. Definite pb potential. Horrendous rain at the start meant running in soggy shoes, leading to big blisters, and the wind along the sea front was relentlous. However, the event was well managed, friendly and well marshalled. Thanks to all marshalls who remained encouraging even in the wind and rain.

The only additional thing that they might have done is to have someone pointing out the way to the bus stop at the end as I walked up a couple of wrong ways before eventually finding it. Not a big issue but could have done without it when physically shattered.

Be back next year.

In short: Fantastic race! Very well organised, amazing scenery and killer hills
In full: A real tough one but very rewarding. First half has a lot of downhill so that you can still get a good time. I got a PB which was surprising as my previous PB was done at Abingdon on a flat course. Rain was hellish though. Very wet and with burst blisters making blood come through my shoes. Nice! See you all next year. Best marathon I've ever done.

In short: Wet and windy. A real terror of a course but hugely enjoyable.
In full: Even managed a PB for a half marathon, despite the hills. Very friendly race that is well marshalled and great fun. Need to be a sadist to enjoy the hill at 8 miles though.

In short: Tough, challenging and ferocious hills. Don't enter unless you have prepared well as you will suffer!
