In short: Nice, scenic, flat-ish run. PB potential but could have better organisation
In full: Nice run through country lanes outside Chelmsford and finished on the running track at Chelmsford Athletic Club stadium. The final 250yards were through the car park leading to the stadium and this could have been better organised as there were cars moving about. Also the queue for the goody bag was too near the funnel after the finish and people began to bunch up back to the finish line. Despite this the race is fairly flat, a few hills but nothing too challenging, and has PB potential. I managed to cut 1min 47sec off of my previous best time.

In short: Great Autumn run through quiet country lanes with demanding finish
In full: Second time that I have run it and I enjoy this race. Smallish field but well organised. The race takes you through quiet, traffic-free lanes and is farily flat apart from a steady climb between 8 and 9 miles. After running it last year and getting caught out by the hill I was able to mentally prepare for it this time. It was still demanding but at least I knew it was coming and this helped me beat by previous 10m best by 4mins. Definitely good pb potential if you hold a bit back for the hill at the end. Good T-shirt and goody bag too.

In short: flat but mostly on uneven sea wall making it trickier. Held in Sept it can often be quite hot.
