In short: Organisation gets better every year
In full: I've been doing this off and one for 20 years. The orginisation of the current format gets better every year. There is a real feeling that mistakes one year are rectified the next. This year they get us off right on time, the numbers never presented a problem. There were adequate water stops and nice new touches like the jelly baby station!

In short: Really enjoyed it, very friendly, PB potential and incredible goody bag!
In full: First time that I've done a 5 mile race. You feel like you should be at a faster pace than for a 10k, but I found it hard to push myself. Perfect conditions (overcast, bit of rain), I thought the organisation was great, the goody bag was exceptional (my 7 year old said it was the best one ever!)and a quick get away afterwards, all in all a little gem of a race. I'll be back

In short: Not an easy course, but well organised and good fun.
In full: The word 'undulating' is pretty apt. As it's a 2 lap race, you at least know whta to expect on the 2nd lap.
Parking was easy, organisation/facilities were very good (wish i'd brought my stuff for a swim) You're not going to do a PB here (unless it's your first half) but it's not too bad.
Nice medal and Mars Bar but that was the extent of the goodies.
I'll definitely be back.

In short: Great race, lovely scenery, nice and flat, early start meant you still had the rest of the day to look forward to
