In short: Fabulous fun again!
In full: Just love this race. The extra 1/4 mile was nearly the end of me, but hey, on 7 training runs since January, I was glad to survive :)
Great race - phenomenal number of marshalls, really very very good. And supportive marshalls too. Great fun, lovely scenery, great weather this year too, can't fault it. Roll on 2011 :)

In short: Magnificent :)
In full: This race was, without a shadow of doubt, the slickest organised event I have ever done. From the moment I spotted the first sign for the race and parking, to the moment I left, everything was just first class and spot on. Friendly locals (I had travelled from the West Midlands, and got so much support), smiling organisers, plentiful, clear and hugely supportive marshalling, fab goodies, amazing route, perfect weather, value for money...I could fill a page. Many congratulations to Anita and team for an exceptional new event. It might be a 410 mile round trip, but that won't stop me doing this event again. Just try and stop me!

In short: Stonkingly Special Stourbridge Stumble
In full: Lovely race, lots of uphills, especially early on, nice downhill last mile. Bit of tarmac, lots of footpaths, some muddy, some sandy, lots of scenery and no rain! Hurrah. very well marshalled.

In short: Lovely hills and fab scenery
In full: Another great race from Matt & Co at Stourbridge RC. A good undulating course along a mixture of narrow footpaths, paved roads/drives, wide grassy trails...oh yes, and a killer hill! Lovely race, friendly and well organised.

In short: Lovely hills, fab views, great race
In full: A lovely hilly trundle with a nice atmosphere. Good tracks and paths and well marshalled by mainly supportive smiley people. Kite surfers on top of hill a bit worrying, I thought they might go off course into us runners! Would have been good if the finish line was clearly marked and if girl handing out cups had maybe gone up to runners with a mug rather than hiding away to the side hoping she'd be spotted. Overall though, a nice race, I can't work out why the field is small as it's really a smashing little run. But hey, small and friendly is good too :) And speedy results. Any photos?

In short: Small, friendly, hilly and muddy - perfect!
In full: Well organised, well marked route with friendly supportive marshalling at key points. Not as hilly as I'd prepared myself for, guess due to the absence of a long hard drag which many of these races feature. This race instead is very undulating, lots of ups and downs, then a bit of a rest on some flatish terrain, then more ups and downs. I kept waiting for another hill as it didn't feel like we'd climbed/descended enough and was sure there would be another one at the end but it didn't happen, so wish I'd gone a bit quicker! Jaffa cakes at the end made my night! Well done on a well planned and organised new race.

In short: No better way to spend the afternoon :)
In full: Just loved this race, great org and marshalling, only thing I would say would be if parking could be signposted in town as many people going round in circles! The scenery around the lakes was just fantastic and the frequent water stations really appreciated, as were those jelly babies (although I did half choke on one in my excitement!). Maybe a biscuit or choc somethings at the end would have helped. I still have a clear vision of 'That hill' etched on my mind...hope to return to area to explore more soon - but on either 2 or 4 wheels!

In short: Milford muddy madness!
In full: What an adventure. A real challenge (as promised by organisers) and even more so with what the weather threw at us. Hard race, not for faint hearted, really had to just keep your head down and get on with it. Some periods of flat, but in the main, it switched between slightly and horribly undulating. I think (in hindsight ;) that I really enjoyed it. Surely FLM will be a breeze after this...

In short: Excellent again :)
In full: 3rd time running this (all three with a hangover, oops). Once again, this event did not disapoint. It just keeps getting better and better. The marshalls were friendly, encouraging and plenty of them so we didn't have to use our brains or really pay attention to the signs. Lovely lovely course, HUGE disapointment at lack of mud in gully(send someone along with a hose next time), great organisation, smiles all round :) Yes, would be nice to get something other than the coaster, but then we all have drawers full of t-shirts too... The outbound route round the playing field immediately before golf course was missing a marshall/marker or was that a course change? Everyone headed diagonally across in very non-sepcific way! Didn't bother me, but thought maybe it made course just short? Anyway, well done Stourbridge, you did good :)
