In short: Much improved route
In full: Much safer route than prior years. Well organised and a good challenging route with the climbs in the first half of the race

In short: Very enjoyable
In full: Great orgainisation and crowds very suportive. Only grip would be the very small bottle of water handed out at the finish was not enough - it would have been good to have been able to have a refill or more than one provided (given the entry fee and the rather empty goody bag!)

In short: Poor organisation
In full: To sum this up I would say the organisation seemed to be lacking in a few areas - I ran the 20 mile route (which was further than 20 miles), there was not enough water on the course available. There was not an advertised place to wait for the bus back to the car park and as such was just a free for all when the bus turned up. Coming into the finish at the end of a long hot run you had to dodge cars and spectators who had little consideration for keeping a route clear so runners could finish.

In short: Shame about the toilets and water running out!
In full: Could have done with more toilets as the wait was nearly 20 minutes. Also, it was not really good enough that they had run out of water at the only water station on the course. Would have preferred a medal (especially as I droppped the carrier bag that the mug was in when running back to my car in the rain and broke the mug!!!!). Also a banana/cereal bar is always appreciated

In short: Good course - shame about the start and malfunctioning chip
In full: In response to Buts who mentioned the chip vs gun times and that slower runners had started on the front row - my chip did not appear to work at all as my gun and chip time were the same despite being near the back and taking several minutes to cross the start line - very disappointed with this as I think it may have been a PB and will never know now - not really good enough as you expect this to work.
Need to sort the access to the start out and goody bag was very disappointing.

In short: Good challenging run
In full: Pretty well orgainised and overall I enjoyed this run. However, would be good if they could do something to make it a bit easier for the slower runners to finish - i.e. so that they are not having to run & swerve around faster runners & spectators who are making their way back to the start - it amazes me how selfish some people can be!!!

In short: Excellent
In full: Despite the weather I really enjoyed this - amazing how much better this is compared to the great north! Also ran a PB by five minutes - brilliant!
