In short: It is not flat!!
In full: Good, unexpensive and quite tough race, very good quality of runners in a course that it is not flat and has far too many bends. It is great not to have traffic and the people in the area (supporters and stuff) were so friendly. It is too late start and at least a bit of space within the tent allocated to get changed would have been much appreciated.

In short: Lovely atmosphere and good level- the delayed start its a crucial point for serious runners and marshalls were clueless of most things
In full: Once I was off running enjoyed it a lot and got a good time. Atmosphere, fantastic. Bath, picturesque. For serious runners, level of competition excellent; for beginners, a huge amount of very slow people too.
INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE, not only the entry but parking, everything was expensive!
I think the organisers do their best and have great intentions... but a delayed start can almost ruin your race, you find yourself on your own, money-less, having had (or tried to have had) the right amount of food and drink, etc... to then have to hang around. If you are with other people fine... I was lucky somebody donated me a coffee with lots of sugar and at the church stall they gave me some buicuits... the worst thing was the marshall, they didnt have a clue where to send you, each of them was saying a completely different thing, bobody knew where pink start was, they wouldnt let us in, some of them got quite aggressive with some competitors... they were quite stressed obviously.... once your are off running you kind of leave all of this behind though!

In short: I found it quite daunting though I know people choose it for the PB potential, which I got too...
In full: I personally didnt like it. I know everybody likes it because you can do a very good time. I guess I found it quite daunting running round that area, the only nice bit being a few hundred metres along the sea side.

In short: It was lovely and great for training but we got lost
In full: 30k route- I know we were given maps, but it wasnt an orienteering event, it was a trail run. Very well signposted throughout until we were about 3 miles to the end when it all went wrong, many of us got lost and had to guess our way back. It was rather frustrating. But on the other side I did love this race as it was beautiful, lovely fresh weather for August and as I said, lovely lovely scenery. Now I know the course, I'll come back next year

In short: Lovely Race
In full: I love this race, i keep saying it! As said before, moved to Lymington inspired with this race, now every year enjoy it even more as it is also a social-community event. This year was very hard with lots of wind and rain, but still the families -including children with wellies and coats and babies under rain covers- gathered around the course cheering everybody! And I dont know how i managed to beat my pb with such weather... so even happier! Lovely race, thanks RNLI!!!!
