In short: Fast and flat.
In full: I managed to knock 4 mins of my summer 10 mile pb so good course pb hunters. Windy in patches but you don't seem to spend too long going in one direction the wind is soon behind you again.

In short: Well organised race with great PB potential.
In full: Good course on which to go for a PB. Only one incline around 4k but had decline to match straigh after. Well marked at each kilometre and easy course to follow. Not much scenary to look at, mainly houses. Lovely cake at the end. Would have appreciated a secure baggage area as I didn't travel by car.

In short: Great course and friendly race.
In full: Loved the course with a mix of terrains and on a day with less wind/rain could probably get a pb. Great support from marshalls and plenty of them along the course. 5 mile marker seemed a bit early but that aside, very well organised.

In short: Great fast course with fantastic local support.
In full: Despite the heat I still managed a pb due to the mainly flat course. Great support from the villages you go through and the people spraying runners with hoses from their gardens are heros. Plenty of drinks available through most of the course but maybe needed an extra station in the last few miles due to the heat. Missed a few of the mile markers as they were quite small. Maybe they need a few balloons/flags so you see them from further away. Fantastic race which I love do again hopefully in cooler weather.

In short: Excellent but extremely tough race.
In full: Brilliant race in lovely countryside but very tough because of the conditions. I was only in my road shoes so had to walk some of the uphill footpaths as they were too slippy. Not sure how much trail shoes would have helped though. Thoroughly enjoyable despite the weather with fantastic marshals and organisation. Will definitely be back another year. Only disappointment was not noticing where the goodie bags were being handed out at the end so missed out on the t-shirt.

In full: Great friendly race for all levels. Very supportive crowds especially some the charity supporters. Would prefer the mile signs to more distintive from the bupa signs. Also not sure what happened with the waves. I estimated my time as sub-80 mins and given a orange wave a number but the 80 mins pace maker was at the back of the orange wave.

In full: 1st time running this race and my only my 2nd ever marathon. Some tough hills especially the last very long one. Sometimes I was running on my own as the field spread out but the marshals and specators were very supportative. Would have like a ribbon for the medal so you can put it on when you finish.
