In short: New course promised for next year
In full: Let's not abuse the word 'dull' in favour of 'snoozing' for the scenery and course. Yet it remains a favourite on the calendar and rightly so: the organization and fun of the event make it much more than just worthwhile, and I strongly recomend the event.

In short: A pure run. Everything to gain
In full: Good fun all round. Fine organization and reasonable facilities. Come for the general fun of the event; the parking's good and the course flat but expect average rather than memorable scenery, Mr Steadman.

In short: Harsh, wet, strewn with manure. Great fun
In full: Lets make no bones about it; this is a hard race and probably sorts out the men from the boys. I ran a crushing 1:45 here and a 1:37 at Bedford a few weeks later. Rain lashed, poor goody bag, but a real sense of accomplishment. A genuine challenge.

In short: A fine alternative to Abingdon et al for a late year M
In full: Very friendly, great marshalling; a good and mostly rural, scenic course. The 3 lap template works extremely well if you are marathon fit though I doubt there's pb potential due to the degree of hill climbing. Great fun.

In short: Last Half of the year; a definite must
In full: It's a pleasent rural trot with excellent marshalling and a fast finish making it all the more tempting for an end of season pb, and thus the best excuse for Christmas satisfaction. And beers.

In short: More an adventure than a race
In full: More than anything else this race had a tremendous spirit and seemed every inch an event organized by and for runners without any pretention and with every wish to ensure a memorable experience. Changing, showers, free food and generous water\feed stations (quartered Mars bars!) coupled with a friendly and laid back atmosphere all contributed to what was a marvelous and memorable event. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone involved in the organization and I look forward to attending next year. Any chance of extending it to 26?

In short: Friendly with exceptional organization and value for money
In full: The scenery doesn't exactly inspire much comment, but the overal experience was excellent.

In short: Excellent all round
In full: A good mix of runners and a balanced, undulating course which is almost entirely rural together with top quality marshalling and full of pb potential make this a must do, particularly at the end of the 'season'. My one contentious point was with the carparking facilities: i appreciate the difficulty from the organizers point of view but laying bloody great metal manhole covers over the ground like seesaws to dent your undercarriage cannot be a well reasoned idea.

In short: Better than average
In full: Some good scenery through the villages and an enjoyable track style finish together with excellent organization, facilities and atmosphere make this a race well worth running.

In short: Flat, semi-rural and uninspiring
In full: It seems my comments may be against the average response but I found it dull to the point of tedium. There was nothing offensive about it mind, more nothing to it at all really, but not to be dismissed out of hand for all that.
