In short: A real challenge both mentally and physically
In full: Complete respect for all the marshalls and supporters in the pouring rain and St Johns for sorting me out at the end. Superbly organised as usual. The heavy rain really made the second half of the race quite interesting.

In short: hard but well worth it
In full: My first marathon - I knew it was going to be undulating as I live in the New Forest, but I found all the lumps add up and it caught up with me towards the latter stages. Extremely well organised, scenery superb and fantastic support dotted all around the course.

In short: loved it
In full: I gave it the respect it deserves and did it as much justice as I could possibly manage. The event is a mad mixture of two extremes, beautiful scenery and brutality under-foot. No other race I have done encapsulates the spirit of running in such a way that this one does. Cheers for the fantastic support and organisation.
