In short: Rain? What rain?! In full: As ever, a well organised, friendly event, with a great mix of club runners and beginners alike. The light rain was actually very pleasant to run in. Later, the heavy rain during the prizegiving not quite so nice! Free Fullers beer very nice, and the cake was gorgeous (particularly the ginger cake!) Thanks RRR. Date of review: June 13, 2011

In short: Lucky with the weather again ... 90% runners get a pb or sb! In full: If you want a pb, go to Eastleigh. Power of 10 web site shows approx 90% runners breaking their pb, or at least getting fastest time of the year so far. Even the winner pb'd. http://www.thepowerof10.info/results/results.aspx?meetingid=44143 Date of review: March 31, 2011

In short: One of the friendliest, and prettiest races I've ever run. Enter early! In full: With views over the solent, a final km in Exbury gardens, and the remainder on pretty New Forest lanes, this has got to be one of the prettiest runs in the UK that doesn't involve running up the side of Scottish or Welsh mountains!! You won't pb here, it's a smigin over 10km, but who cares for a race this friendly. Enter early - always fills. Date of review: March 24, 2011

In short: A very fast course with a decent field up front, coupled with the beauty of Broadlands In full: I loved this race - on private lands there was no worries from even parked cars, let alone moving ones, and the air quality benefitted as a result. The route was simple, and the 2.5 small laps to start no problem at all. The race appeared to be executed by about 3 or 4 people, but it all went perfectly, so what does that matter! Will be back... In short: Perfect! In full: A fantastic new course, and but for the weather, a definte pb potential with long flat straights, with (if you've got time) wonderful views. Good organisation. Well done. Date of review: November 30, 2009

In short: Nearly there! Just a couple of niggles and Gosport RR will have cracked it In full: All the important points in place: good start/finish, parking, loos, race hq, enthusiastic marshals, and I loved the band!
Points to work on: (1)a marshal at the 8.5 mile course split is needed (2) contingence for circumnavigating the puddle like a pump, or a mown track to the left of it with that lorry removed and (3) get runners in the road where there are extensive domestic driveways. Sub 7 or 8 min milers don't appreciate that type of terrain unless its a long slow training run.
Nearly there - well done Date of review: November 16, 2009

In short: Long may this race live - it exposes the centre of historic Winchester to half an hour of frantic action! In full: Look out for the flying butresses and bollards on the frequent tight bends. If you get a pb here, you could do even better at Portsmouth in a couple of weeks. Date of review: July 17, 2009

In short: A perfect race to aim for on an Easter weekend. Great for beginners In full: Great race - thanks. If you want even more people to turn up (there's limitless parking) then having the course measured (http://coursemeasurement.org.uk/index.htm) will bring more in, as people like to know that a 10k is exactly that. I think you would need 200 or 300 yards of tape down the middle of the path leading up to the switchback point, if you had many more runners.
Great race, though. Keep it going, as it is pretty quick for an off-roader, without the mounting hassles that on-road races are going to be facing over the coming years. Date of review: April 12, 2009
