In short: My first GSR - a great day in Portsmouth!
In full: Excellent flat course with only a few minor bottlenecks in the first 2 miles. The 'wave' system at the start seemed to work well, although I was glad to be in the orange section, so did not have to wait for too long to get going. Great crowd support and fantastic weather (difficult to imagine that the conditons could ever be better). Only negative was the chip time discrepancy of approx. 12 secs or so (as reported by others) which was unexpected for this type of event.

In short: Enjoyable - despite the driving rain throughout! Good idea to arrive early because of the use of shuttle buses to the start.
In full: I don't usually like courses with laps, but this one was fine. Made good use of the Stevenage cycle paths, even though this meant a few challenging inclines towards the end. Marshalls were very good and the track finish in the athletics stadium was a nice feature.

In short: Very enjoyable half-marathon, helped by good organisation and near perfect running conditions. Narrow streets at start resulted in a 'steady' start in the first mile or so, but settled down after that. Pleased with time of 1 hr 36 mins.

In short: Liked the course, which made good use of Harlow's cycle paths. The Marshalls were great and the track finish inside the stadium was a nice feature. Managed to go sub 70 mins for the first time in ages, despite the warm weather - well pleased!

In short: Great atmosphere at start and finish as the park is perfect for spectators. Miles 10-12 a bit tough due to stretch of 'A' road and the hot/sunny weather. Marshals on course were very helpful. Use of chip timing this year was an added bonus.
In full: The 25th anniversary next year should be even better with course changes promised in order to take in central St Albans.

In short: Well organised and a great atmosphere at the start and finish. Definitely one of the best 10 mile races I've done. A few inclines to make things interesting. Wish I'd seen the 9 mile marker though - did I miss it?

In short: Very well organised and definitely worth the trip. Racing circuit conducive to speed! Could be a morale booster for the London Marathon if the training is going to plan. Only down side was the queue out of the car park afterwards.
