In short: Lovely friendly race in a beautiful setting
In full: I turned up alone having registered a couple of days before as I wasn't sure I could run 10k until this week. This was an excellent race to do as a relatively inexperienced race - friendly people, well organised, loads of encouraging marshals and beautiful scenery. The hill at the start is interesting but doable if you grit your teeth and the last 1k being downhill made it a great fun finish.

In short: Lovely scenery, three interesting hills
In full: Only my fifth ever race and I'm still pretty slow but didn't feel left behind at all. Could have done with more toilet facilities! Scenery was lovely and the three hills were challenging without being deadly.

In short: Better organised than last year and a good one for beginners
In full: Ran this with a friend who was running her first ever race and both enjoyed it until we saw the bag queue. The weather was glorious and overcame all other niggles but next year they need to sort out enough toilets and let people search for their own bags to get the queue down.

In short: Great fun and really welcoming to a newbie
In full: I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the course was nice and flat so it was a great first 10k for me. I came in at under an hour which was my target so I was happy, as were lots of the other people who finished at a similar time - great fun and a nice park too.

In short: Glorious!
In full: I had a wonderful day at this race, it was my first ever and while it was mainly club runners I was made very welcome indeed and learned a lot. The scenery is beautiful, the locals were out with water which really helped in the heat, and the atmosphere was extremely friendly with lots of families about. Definitely do it if you can.
