In short: Excellent as an event and in organisation - thanks
In full: Second time on this event. Excellent organisation as ever, and the 9.30am start for us 4+hrs runners meant that marshalls and supporters were there all the way through the check-points, which was terrific. Great 'event village' at the finish, partially due to the weather with people hanging around but also with the sponsors' exhibition, the burger van, and car parking being better placed etc. See you in 2009! Thanks

In short: Great Stinger - tough but very satisfying
In full: Very enjoyable run - it was good to be able to start when ready rather than a mass dash. The route was excellent, the runners very friendly - overall an excellent event in all respects. Thank you Steyning AC.

In short: Another top Plod
In full: Third one I've done - impeccably organised as ever, the route was challenging with not much road and lots of fantastic scenery (thanks weather). Thanks to Pompey Joggers and all the friendly participants.

In short: A great mad event - I'm still chuckling about the terrain!
In full: Great event, very well organised with quality / different scenery.

Also one of the toughest trail marathons I've done, but a real sense of satisfaction at the finish. Hope the 4 lads who were going on to do the Gloucester Marathon the following day weren't too sore. Nutters!

I thought that £45 represented good value for money (it also included a hot meal at the end from the cafe/restaurant's menu that would have costed £9). T-shirt and medal are nice, plus it was good not to be running in crowds for a change (cos I'm too slow!).

Will have a think about doing the full series of 5 next year.....

In short: Great race, planning & atmosphere, but let down by poor post-race organisationn
In full: Race arrival, departure from Winchester to Salisbury and organisation at the Start was great. Weather improved through the run, and going was good with a well-marked route, enthusiatic and supportive marshalls (thank you), and lots of drink stations.

At the Finish, bags collected OK from some very helpful Scouts, but the organisation to collect a T-shirt or Medal left a lot to be desired. Sorry, it takes a lot for me to moan, but I stood there in a slow queue for 40 minutes, straight from the Finish, getting cold and wanting something to eat. Why did the provision of every runners's T-shirts (and Medals) have to revolve around one (stressed) guy? I only wanted a Medal - they don't come in various sizes! And when the Scouts tried to help the situation by providing T-shirts to runners they got told to stop - 'and follow proper procedure'! This area needs some attention please.

I'd also support some other comments about how a policeman could have helped the exit from the school. That would be much appreciated.

Overall though, thanks to the organisers and volunteers for a great day out.

In short: Great event, scenery and camaraderie
In full: Really enjoyed this - I'd done the FLM twice but fancied a 'normal' marathon. This was great. Having walked the SDW recently I knew the route quite well, which was a big mental advantage. Weather was ideal for running and the markers every 5 miles were fine - I just expected to see one every 50 mins or so! I hope the guy who had mega-cramp just before South Harting was OK, and hopefully walked to the finish. Shall I do it next year? - rude not to!

In short: Great training run and scenery, a couple of small hills to help the cardiovascular, good company if you wanted it
