In short: A wonderful day out.
In full: As this was the 3rd time I had done this race I knew how brutal the course is. So I was able to rise up the rankings significantly in the second half. The wind was hard work on the return.
Trotters organisation was terrific, free food and a massage completed a great day.
Surely the best road race on the calendar?

In short: Another great day. Weather was not kind though.
In full: Second year done. This is a great course, highly recommended. The weather started hot and sunny; then got overcast and great for running; then turned to steady rain. A headwind in the first half was a challenge. Well done to Marlborough Running Club for putting this on again.

In short: Excellent race
In full: Unfortunately the foggy day meant we did not get to enjoy the views to the full. Undulating course, no really big climbs.
One request would be to have more jelly babies, so at every drinks station.
Thanks to the organisers and all the marshalls.

In short: Usual excellent organisation. Not too hot.
In full: Not flat, but not too slow either. Well done to Pewsey Vale for putting on a well organised race. This is always low key, but highly recommended. The potential problem is always that it could be a baking hot day. it was 18-20 degrees with some wind, so not too bad. Plenty of shade in the last couple of miles when you need it most.

In short: Brilliant race. One of the best there is.
In full: Had a great run after a terrible first attempt. Kept an even pace through the whole course to finish feeling strong.

In short: Great event for training.
In full: As an LDWA event there is no results list. So not a race to target for a result. However there were plenty of runners.
I did the 26.7 miles, which included 3212ft of climb, so never a PB course. However the course is very scenic, so a great day out.

In short: Brilliant race, excellent off road course.
In full: Cannot fault this race. Wonderful experience. Terrific value with a great T shirt and a full meal after. The course is very scenic, unfortunately the weather was good for running, but not the views. Us 20 milers finished before the rain came. Seriously thinking about the 40 miles next year!

In short: No hills, but plenty of wind.
In full: Interesting mix of terrain. Was icey for the first half. The challenge of the wind more than made up for the lack of hills.
I used the race to experiment with pacing. Avoided the wall completely and made the last mile my fastest even into a headwind. Great day out.

In short: Hilly and today windy. So not first choice for a fast race.
In full: Very well organised, deserves top marks for that aspect. Loved the pacers. The wind today was a real struggle. If you are looking for a PB this is too hilly for that.
