In short: Not as bad as the reviews, lives up to expectation
In full: I'm reading some poor reviews. It wasn't that bad. As long as you know what to expect...a no frills race thru the inner city. It's not prettybut pretty well organised, shelter and toilets before the start, prompt start, fast undulating course and pb potential (though my farming measured a short 10k. Ok tee, goody bag and just 10min back to the city centre on the bus. Far superior to theBupa 10k, and much better value.

In short: playful hills, nice cup of tea
In full: Really well organised race. It helps that it's set in a school, plenty of shelter, and a good value canteen selling post race tea and excellent cakes!! The course is a bit challenging with the odd hill but beautiful scenery took the edge off. Very well orgnaised, plenty of marshalls, will definitely try again next year :-)

In short: Good, well organised run
In full: Enjoyed the race, perfect weather, pretty flat course (appeared to be more down than up). Started bang on time, and medal, tee, and goodies were decent. Will be back

In short: Grit your teeth and bear it!
In full: Not the most exciting course, but nice to be beside the sea. Though mainly flat, the undulations weren't very welcome second time round. Very well organised, great bag at the end and good value for money. Definitely a good choice of pre-marathon races.

In short: Good first race of the year
In full: I'd run this one the summer before last, the January version was a lot muddier! I'd forgotten about the hills, but mostly just a slow slog. Good atmosphere, well organised and I'll be taking my souvenir mug to work tomorrow.

In short: One for the girls!
In full: A really well organised race, marshalls all over the course to give directions a nifty goody bag and speedy results service. The course a little hilly - gently undulating shall we say. A great chance to run amongst other women and if you're competitive ... to see how you rate.

In short: How many miles in a KM?
In full: Slightly confused by the signage and spent a lot of the course doing the maths to work out how far left! Apart from that, well organised, well attended, and good fun. Apart from the first mile or so, the hills weren't too steep. Definitley a challenge, but I'd do it again.

In short: Good to feel part of the Manchester running scene
In full: Although the thought of three laps was pretty depressing, they weren't as bad as expected, it was even quite nice to run alongside the the elite runners (as they lapped me).

A pretty fast bunch of people, which helped me on my way to a PB. Well organised, great support in the stadium and plenty of toilets!

Overall, an enjoyable race, and a good way to feel part of the Manchester running scene.

In short: One for the girls
In full: A great race, as everyone has said, crowded to start and too narrow in places. The start and finish had a great atmosphere, probably helped by the fact that it was all ladies. Impressed with the goody bag, medal and t-shirt. I came over from Manchester to do it, and would definitely do it again next year.

In short: Great race
In full: My first time for this one, an undulating course no doubt, but thankfully no big hills. Organisation was great, the goody bag made it all worth while with a great t-shirt, different souvenir and (perhaps best of all) chocolate! Would tackle it again, probably a good fast race to try for a PB.
