In short: Another excellent race day, thanks To Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners
In full: Third time running this race. Lovely sunshine and unseasonably warm for November. Joining the service and 2 minute silence was a very moving addition to this event. The start, however, was very congested, it took me almost 20 secs to cross the start. Maybe worth chip timing in the future. Getting rid of the turn around greatly improved the route, and as ever a well-fitting souvenir top. A great, well- organised race. One I will keep coming back to

In short: Tough off-road race, makes you feel as though you've been really tested
In full: First time I'd run this despite only being a few miles away. Having been warned about how tough it was I enjoyed it more than expected as there was no pressure to achieve a PB. The short steep hill at the end is a real sting in the tail and this year it was even longer than ever, I clocked 6.7 miles.
Note to the organisers, thought that being charged £1.50 for 2 fairy cakes was a tad steep!

In short: If you can run this you can run any 10k
In full: Second time I have run this, once again it was very hot. Could we have an earlier start please? How about setting the 10K off and then the 3k? After the tough climb into Grovely Wood I enjoyed the race and the scenery but could have done without the extra .3 miles at the end. The ice lollies were a great post race boost!

In short: Very well organised. Great marshalls, scenic undulating route
In full: Earlier start would be better given the hot weather. Not as flat as I had anticipated. Sorry I missed the cakes but nice to get a T-shirt that actually fits!

In short: Well-organised, great marshalls, no showers!
In full: First outing at this distance. Lucky we had beautiful sunshine though wind made it tough in places. Marshals great with loads of encouragement. Could have done without long walk back to car at finish (also signposts would have been useful). Happy with my goody bag, I got a headband, running mate less impressed with her inflatable 'thing'!

In short: Tough off-road race. Challenging for seasoned runners but beginner and family friendly
In full: Very well organised and marshalled race. Lovely setting. The candy floss was a great sugar boost at the finish!

In short: Cold damp start, tough terrain for a charity race
In full: Agree with other comments. Spent too long hanging around getting very cold before the race started. Not enough toilets, 10 for >700 people, just as well they didn't get the expected 1500! This was a tough x-country course for a charity race. Felt more like a winter x-country race. Clock at finish shaved 30secs off my time!

In short: Well-organised local race
In full: Race fits the description, tough as there is no uplifting scenery to take your mind off the pain. Could have done without the lorries thundering past on the A1303 inches away and having to inhale exhaust fumes. Marshalls very supportive, don't get many crwods round the industrial estate!
