In short: Love it! Love it! Love it!
In full: 4th time I have done this one and its well worth the journey from London to Inverness. Brilliant organisation. Brilliant scenery. Love it!

In short: Chaotic at the end
In full: I entered this thinking that Edinburgh being a city, this had all the makings of a good one.

I liked the course, not too demanding but a bit lonely at times.

But the finish was just a farce. By the time I had queued to get everything I had just about lost the will to live. All I wanted was to meet my friends and go.

Before I say I would enter this one again, I would want assurances that the organisers had taken the criticisms on board and done something about them!

In short: Pretty course, brilliant marshalls
In full: No goody bag for on the day entries? I thought that was a bit cheeky seeing that we paid more to enter today. Not impressed at all. Spoilt the race for me as I was wondering if I would even get a medal!!!!!!

In short: Well organised, well marshalled event
In full: The addition of port-a-loos and chip timing was good. I was using this as part of a 19m training run so was doing it very slowly - the marshalls were cheerful and encouraging even though I was right at the back of the field!

In short: Well organised race
In full: Couple of glitches like the very narrow part where you had to go in single file (cost me over a minute there) but on the whole a very good race. Accurately measured. It has actually made me feel proud to live in Newham :) Definitely be back next year.

In short: Organisation has gone downhill from when I did it before
In full: The course wasn't the right measurement - I knew it would be out when at the first km marker my garmin measured 7.45 - wtf??? There were only 4 portaloos for a race that was full - wtf???? Nowhere at the finish to get rid of chips - just random buckets. In the race instructions it said that no baggage storage would be provided which didn't bother me as I had the car but what about people who travelled by tube/bus etc? I did this race 3 years ago but I won't bother again.

In short: A really nice one........
In full: especially as I got a pb! My only gripe with this one is that the finish line wasn't clear as I came through - there were people standing around chatting and I couldn't slow down in time and went into someone. Good atmosphere though!

In short: Loved this one!
In full: I found it quite hard going at times as I don't live anywhere near hills to practice on:-(

But in spite of that I managed to come in only 3 minutes outside my pb.

The scenery was lovely, the marshalls were brilliant and the spectators on the route were very encouraging.

Will be back next year.
