In short: Well organised, well supported, friendly, scenic ... and it didn't rain! What more could you ask for?
In full: I thought this was another triumph of organisation from Nice Work. A huge amount of work and preparation goes into staging events such as this and it is important to recognise this. It is very easy to criticise if something doesn't go quite according to plan, although I didn't notice it on Sunday.

Runners are asked to get to the venue early so they can collect their chips. There was a queue which meant a short delay to the start of the race. This may be annoying for those runners who did arrive early and collect their chips, but cannot be helped.

The weather has played a massive role in the organisation of races across the UK over the past few months with very wet and muddy conditions. Race organisers work incredibly hard to put on a good show and should really be applauded for their efforts. Without them we wouldn't have anywhere to go.

Thank you Martin for enabling everyone to have another enjoyable Sunday morning out in the Kent countryside. I look forward to the next one.

In short: This was my 46th race this year and the most disappointing
In full: No-one knew where the start was. The race started late. The course was very disappointing. The organisers appeared not to know the course "you do 9Km then run 2 laps of the field". Actually you didn't. There were no KM markers. Sorry but it wasn't a race I would do again. Little or no atmosphere although the marshals did their best to be encouraging.

In short: Overall well organised, a very scenic race (as promised). The Orme is a killer but is part of the attraction. The bit after the finish needs a look at though.
In full: A really great race. Very scenic and worth the trip from Kent to take part. Perfect running conditions, though if the plans to increase the race to 5,000 for next year do happen then maybe a change of date might be appropriate. Running up the Orme in bad weather with thousands on the course might be asking for trouble. The start was well organised, the atmosphere was great. Course was a bit tight in places and will need a review if there are more runners. I wasn't too impressed with the finish (my only real criticism). The last thing a runner wants after crossing the finish line is to stand around for 20-25 mins in a queue getting cold. This part really does need looking at. Really nice bespoke medal. Well worth the 600 mile round trip. Thank you to all the stewards for their support and the organisers for a great effort. A bit of tweaking needed and it WILL be the best in Wales!

In short: Oh dear! what a total waste of a Saturday morning. Some considerable improvements needed for this event.
In full: Where does one start. Look I know Marie Curie is a charity and at the end of the day it is all about raising money for a very worthy cause. But if you are going to organise an event it needs to be done properly. What wasn't right: (1) The start. 3-2-1-Go! I'm sure hardly anyone heard the starter. Please get a horn or something (2) Distance markers - where were they? There were signs up for everything else, apart from the key Kilometre markers telling you how far round the course you were. These should be a mandatory requirement (3) Route confusion - Where was the marshall at the key fork on the course? All of the lead runners and probably 200 in total (including me) went down the wrong track for probably 0.5 kilometre. We all had to turn around and come back again (4) Timing at the end - the main clock was wrong by 2 minutes! At least there was someone there to call out the times as you crossed the line. My 55.01 was fairly respectable for 10.6K! (5) A rather cheap and tacky medal at the end. I'm sorry for being so negative, but praise for events that are well organised and criticism for those who not. Please try and improve. Thank you.

In short: What a great way to spend a Sunday morning - a really good course, well organised, friendly, good weather and a great medal. What more could one ask for?
In full: Great preparation for London and a great race. Can't understand why it has taken so long for someone to come up with the Kilomathon idea. Judging by today's event I think it is here to stay. I will certainly be looking to do other events at this distance. With a field of just under 6,000 runners I think it was well organised, well marshalled and just about right. There will always never be enough toilets at the start, but I think the organisers did a great job getting everyone to the start line and under way by 9am. If this new distance does take off though I think that a new larger venue will be needed as it could quite easily double in numbers by next year and continue to attract support from runners eager to try it. I am proud to say I was one of the first! Well done to everyone for making today run so smoothly. Thank you.

In short: A very pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning
In full: Overall well organised. A larger field than I think was expected. The start was a little crowded and the section where runners were going opposite each other after the first turn was a bit of a squeeze at times. After this point though the course was excellent. Very flat, superb scenery and a great way to start the weekend. Nice early start as well. Very enjoyable. Thank you.

In short: My first "Fix" event. Overall no major issues. Very nice run (if a little warm), friendly and a nice medal.
In full: Appears to be organised by a very small team. Administration excellent. On the day organisation was generally pretty good. Could have done with a megafone to let everyone know what was going on. Fortunately I was in the first wave so could hear everything. Doing the Run Richmond event in October so will see then if my opinion changes. Otherwise nice run, scenic, great medal, very friendly. A tad too warm for a PB - or maybe I'm getting old!
