In short: Faultless In full: Lots of work had obviously gone into this event and it shows. From communications pre race to the excellent atmosphere at the finish. Enthusiastic marshal's and water distributors on the route and great support from some of the outlying villages. Best vets prize list I have ever come across too and all age groups covered. Mention has been made of the cost but road closures, stadium hire, prize list etc all add up. Not a lot can be done about the walk to the start, but a good warm up anyway ! See you all next year folks Date of review: May 1, 2013

Great to be traffic free especially in the misty conditions. Great facilities showers etc. Hope the series is on next year. Date of review: October 22, 2012

In short: Loved it In full: Great race, in my 30 years of running I dont normally do big city runs but this was a great weekend away, White number start so just a few seconds crossing the line. Great organisation, worth the 500 mile round trip. Cones where a hazard at times, also Ipod wearers etc, ambulances zipping around, would the people wearing music players hear them, why isolate yourself when the course has music and good crowd support ? Good goody bag but one size cotton T shirt OK for me, but only in large which for my wife at 5 foot is useless, luckily we got a free good for age as race very expensive. Not as flat as I expected !! In short: Fast course In full: Great to see a new race in the area organised by a very enthusiastic club. As has been stated to leave gear at Queen Elizabeth School would have been a problem any way, it would have meant a cold run to the school near the start, then a wet run back and then another journey back for presentation. Very fast course, weather not really a problem, but a large room to strip off wet gear would have been handy. Race support good, excellent marshalling and good to have a traffic free course. Good goody bag and a cool hat too. Major glitch with the chip timing system which is completely out the control of the organisers, but results were available later, just a pity that only limited prizes given on the day for some. All in all a great event which will grow in the future, a few teething hiccups which they will address, well done to all. Date of review: March 6, 2012

Great support, great marshal's, top grass roots race. Easy access, showers etc. Date of review: January 30, 2012

In short: Good way to kick start the year In full: A much bigger field than expected but course seemed to cope with the extra bodies, perhaps chip timing for next year. Every year on the ratings people comment about not running on the sea front, it is way too busy for that amount of people, so the club has to stick with the existing route which is very fast, Shame about the water, but how many need it on a 10K when it is 10 degrees ? Good facilities at HQ, nice hot showers, coffee etc. Well marshalled en route, will be back in 2103. Cracking T shirt, ran in it twice already ! Date of review: January 4, 2012
