In short: A nice Sunday morning race. Well organised. Room to run at your planned pace
In full: This is Friday following the race and still no results posted. Facebook messages about results unanswered. Seems extraordinary delay for West of Scotland Championships. Some overseas runners'enjoying the race as part of holidays. The town does not seem to play its part by catering for runners' and supporters'. Otherwise the race is well organised, marshalled, watered with mileage markers for each mile. There is free parking.
The road surface for 9 miles is fine then 3 miles a bit patchy among houses and shops with a straight good surfaced final mile to the finish.

In short: New route was interesting. Kingston Br remains a waste of everyone's time.
In full: Weather was great and plenty drinks. Why can these major events not solve the toilet problems? Goody bag poor just give us drink, something sugary and bananas after the race. Used to be hot tea at finish. Tshirt and medal were OK but unimaginative. Can the Art School not provide something exciting?

In short: The conditions were near perfect cannot think anyone had a complaint except me!
In full: Lovely medal pity no date shown on it or the ribbon. The Running Company 10% voucher expired 31/12/2009! Some folk were walking within minutes of starting at the front and others were weaving about as they continued messing with their iPods etc but this is becoming the norm in many races now. The race itself, the weather, the goody bag, the marshals/police all made it a super day for the runners.

In short: Great running weather pity about the route
In full: The hill at the start cured the Kingston Bridge congestion. Did not like the new route and preferred the longer run to finish in Glasgow Green.Poor medal design and why no Glasgow Coat of Arms on the medal? Goody bags seem to get worse every year for most races. Roads might have been better signed to help drivers get away. I think I look for too much value for my entry! I did enjoy my day and perhaps that is all that matters.

In short: One of my favourite events
In full: Nice undulating course with good marshalling. A Mars bar to finish was very welcome. The anniverary was a good opportunity to change the medal.

In short: A very enjoyable race.
In full: I always appreciate the Sikhs refreshment station. Perhaps the early rain put off some supporters but the weather during the race seemed OK. Perhaps the event was not well publicised or lacked personalities. Maybe only the older runners' appreciate what Jimmy Saville has done for this Glasgow event. What about our TV companies starting to provide live coverage of other Scottish sporting events such as this and the Edinburgh Marathon which has more actual participation in the events than anything else in Scotland.

In short: Very enjoyable race.
In full: Only 200-300 usually run this race which allows you to run the race your way. The race is well marshalled and organised. Pity local business doesn't seem interested in early morning custom from runners and their
supporters on race day.

In short: The organisation of this race lets you focus on your running
In full: The 10K runners start with the 1/2 marathon which can be disconcerting unless you use the faster 10K runners as pacemakers!Helpfully their race numbers are shown in red. Truly there is little to knock about this race and much to praise. Runners do have their personal likes and dislikes but I think most comments will be positve.

In short: Unusually bad weather. First timers should try again next year for a more enjoyable experience.
In full: The weather this year was the main talking point. Don't be kidded by the runners' dressed to go home as you were crossing the finish. Their swagger hid longer times by their standards. Everybody did exceptionally well in the conditions.
