In short: Much Improved After Last Year, Just Needs A Few More Tweaks
In full: Much improved after last years debacle. The course is very nice and fast although not the most scenic.

Support was fantastic along the majority of the course, race village was good and the finishers medal and t-shirt were excellent, the goody bag was ok.

The only disappointments were the race results and the mile markers were either not there or not prominently displayed, also when I arrived at the Car Park they had closed the road off and sent me an alternative route which was also closed. Eventually everyone just drove down the closed road to the car park, later on the closure was moved, so I presume it was a mistake by the Marshalls.

Overall though, a good Marathon which I will certainly consider again.

In short: Fantastic Marathon In A Fantastic City
In full: Sorry I'm not very good at writing reviews but I shall try my best:

This is a fantastic marathon for all abilities.

The organisation is superb and with the added benefit of Alan joining in the Runners World forums answering questions and giving the latest information and updates as soon as possible.

I never had to queue for a toilet....a first at a marathon event

The course is brilliant, giving a mix of residential and industrial areas, as well as dockside and park areas. Support is very good, patchy in some areas but I believe this is due to the variety of the course, however even through the industrial areas the marshalls are encouraging and friendly.

For first time marathoners who may be put off by comments about the hill at 18 miles, it really isn't a hill, a slight incline but nothing major unless you live in a completely flat area of the Country, and once your at the top you have the benefit of knowing that you will be coming down it a few miles later.

Baggage collection at the end was superb, many people having their bags waiting to be handed to them as the baggage staff were looking ahead for numbers approaching the lorries in order to find the bags allocated to them.

If you are looking for a superbly organised atmospheric marathon for next year this is the one for you. I'm definately returning again.

In short: Dont get put off by rumours of hills
In full: Brilliantly organised race, rumours of hills are exagerated, its undulating, but there are no major climbs really, just a combination of short uphills followed by flat areas. Bottled water greatly appreciated as was good support from marshalls. There isn't much public support although where it was it was great thank you.

A good run well worth the effort and if you haven't done it before give it a go, it really does deserve your time.

In short: Don't Let The Hills Put You Off
In full: Excellent organisation and encouraging Marshalls. The first 3 miles aren't the easiest but after than its pretty much downhill till mile 8 and your nearly finished then right.

Great race, well done to the organisers and i will be back again next year.

In short: Good run overall, quite enjoyable
In full: Plenty of toilets, start was good. Route went well although there is a distinct lack of scenery (hey its dronfield :) ). Marshalls were quite good, the only real complaint with these was whilst waiting for a friend to finish and observed the marshalls directing traffic into the way of runners slowing them down and worse stopping them totally whilst blocking off the road.

Medal was ok but lack of any date or goody bag, just a few leaflets for local races was a little disappointing.

Overall quite enjoyable and probably will be back next year just feel there could be a little more from this event.

In short: Excellent race and organisation, but where are the toilets?????
In full: This is one of my favourite half marathons and the scene of my pb (although wasn't to be this year). The organisation is excellent but i do agree with some of the other comments. It certainly isn't one of the most scenic routes but the is lots of encouragement from marshalls and spectators along the route. The goody bag was a bit poor but the t shirt seems good although im sure we got a medal before. Worst of all though are the toilets, there just isn't enough and i missed the start of the race and had to run round the track to start with the back of the pack. Other than this though it really is a great run and i will be back next year.

In short: Good race, excellent organisation & marshalling
In full: A good race with great organisation and friendly marshalls. Water stations were well spaced and great to see bottles rather than cups. The course is nicely undulating, hills make it more interesting but nothing of great severity. Will Be Back

In short: Great Race Once Again, And With Much Improved Weather This Year
In full: Great race with plenty of support around the course. Marshalls are excellent as is the overall organisation. Scenery helps inspire and I will definately be back next year.

In short: Good Race With Only Minor Problems
In full: Good run in sunny conditions. 2 water stations were very welcome but sponge station could have been better placed rather than at the bottom of virtually the only uphill section. Also agree with comment about St. Johns, as there were people suffering from heat and dropping out with noone anywhere nearby to give any help. Only other slight negative was that the club runners all stayed in there own little groups with little integration with everyone else, which may leave those new to running in races feeling a little bit lost. Overall though a good fun run, which will see me again next year.
