In full: Small local race that makes all welcolme, fun runners, beginners and experienced club runners. Ideal location on edge of Lake District. Mix of urban and quiet rural roads. Scenic views over surrounding country side and Morecambe Bay. Start & finish around cricket field

In short: Excellent course. Mildly undulating over parkland and quiet roads. P.B. potential as out and back course with return slightly downhill. Excellent facilities and good oranisation. Much better tyan Great North Run which is boring, over-rated and crowde

In short: Great race. Extremely demanding 10 miler on rolla-coaster route. Hardly any flat sections at all. No traffic. Great views. Only negative is car parking. Get there early to avoid problems.
