In short: Brill event.
In full: Favourite race of the yr. Muddier than last yr. No chance of me beating the train, so just enjoy the run. Funny how the sun comes out on the Sunday afternoon as your on your way home? Very wet. Keep silly H&S away from this. The marshalls are amazing to be out there all day. Brilliant organisation again. 4th time at full event. Will be back again.

In short: Excellent event.
In full: Brilliant weekend of camping & running with good friends. Hard to believe what you can pack into 24 hours. Did feel like a zombie when I got home on Sunday afternoon though.
Facilities were 1st class. Course was tough.
Only complaint - more showers needed. Don't let the event get any bigger, as it would spoil it.
Hats off to all the solo runners.

In short: Excellent local race.
In full: Great local race. Well organised 2 lap course. PB course. Good to do run organised by running club, as they don't rip you off. Only £9 to enter on the day & get tshirt. Recommend this to all.

In short: Very tough, hilly, muddy, wet run.
In full: Very tough, hilly, muddy & wet run. Challenging 21 miles over Cannock Chase.
Had to walk up the switch backs & hill at the end. Good training run if doing Marathon.

In short: Well organised local race
In full: Marshalls / organisers did a good job to get this on. 2 lap course works. Quite flat overall. Just glad to get back running after snow.
Very icy 1st 1-2 miles on each lap. Perhaps should have delayed start a bit to thaw out more?

In short: Good well organised local race.
In full: Good well organised local race. Challenging hilly course. Not a pb course. Also for a good cause. Would recomend this to all.
Only thing to change would be finish. Finish line not very clear & timing clock hidden.
Very good 1st attempt at organising this race.

In short: Enjoyable race apart from the start.
In full: Start was chaotic. No clear definition of different coloured areas.
Also got 13.3 miles on garmin, as did 2 others I was with. 1st mile was out.
Parked on the side streets - free, short walk to start.
Fast course except the hills near the end. Took me by suprise.
Good finishing straight along Broad St.
Managed to finish before problems at finishing line.

In short: Very well organised marathon.
In full: Very well organised marathon. Did the full marathon. Isn't cheap to enter, but I would rather pay more to have a properly organised race.
Well marshalled. Plently of drinks / gels / lucazade. Nice to see Liz & Martin Yelling at mile 19.
1st half wasn't that hilly. Really enjoyed 1st half. 2nd half difficult mentally.
Hard at mile 13 when you can see the car park, when the half marathons go left to the finish & us full marathoners stay right. Didn't enjoy Holme Pierpoint round the lake. Very boring, would prefer this to be changed.
Struggled from mile 18 / 19 onwards.
Would be back next yr, but just to have a good go at the half.

In short: Super local well organised race
In full: An excellent local race. Not a PB course for time, but definately a PB course in how to organise a local friendly & enjoyable course. I would recommend this for everyone. Well done to everyone involved. Great location. Very good cause.
