In short: its what running is all about
In full: this race may not have the glittz & glam of the London funrun. What you get for your money is a challenging race, in stunning scenery that is constantly changing, in a very freindly atmosthere and suported by appretiateve and informative crowd.

You want to say you've done a mara?
then do London

You want to do a mara?
THEN DO SNOWDON

In short: health & safety conserns
In full: while the race itself was a fine low key event, well marshalled if a little expensive.

The big problem was the water stations or should that be lack of them! they advertised them at 3/6/9/11, which is in accordance with ARC & UKA rules. the reality was one at 7m and one at 10! the 3m they had no cups and don't seem to have planned for the mandatory 4th one. This is not acceptable and shows a complete lack of concern for runners wealthfare, what makes this matter worse was that some runners were doing a full marathon, plus it was a warm sunny day.

YOU NEVER START A RACE WITHOUT CHECKING SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE, people could quite easily end up in hospital!

I'm reporting the race to ARC the permit providers.

In short: pure quality
In full: i have been saving this one for a while, and it was well worth the wait.

I have been running /raceing for over 3 years both here and abroad, this race stands out from the crowd. It is not easy, but if you want easy run a 5k.

It reminds you that racing is not just about times, but the challange of the magical 26.2

In short: real pb potential
In full: this is a great little race and their are not many decent 10 milers left these days. my only minor grumble is where were the car park signs? and the a marshall directing traffic sent me to the wrong place!!! a map of where to park would be a help next year. other than that keep going, good stuff.

Good points

1-fast, almost flat route
2-well organised
3-easy to find

bad points

1-car park not signposted and misdirected by marshall

p.s. many thanks to the time keeper thant was counting down to 63min, you got me a 62 time

In short: too many people for such a narrow cource
In full: well organised nice race, my only complaint is the number of runners 500 is to many for those narrow paths especially at the beginning. Also the 360 turn seriously reduces your pb potential if seconds count, consider it more a competitve workout than a race.

In short: this was MUDDY GOOD!!!! it does exactly what it says on the tin
In full: This was a very good, hard workout that I will reep the benifits of for many races to come and have also leant what areas i need to work on to improve and it was great fun with a excellent atmosphere aswell.

It did live upto its name, the last hill i walked up which is a first(even when I hit the wall in edinburgh marthon I still ran the hill) not one for the glory but the experience.

my only crit was the car park delays getting in and out and cars struggling in the mudd if it rained it would be a nightmare. but it is hell at the end of the day.

more hill work before next years

In short: not flat, but well organised
In full: The event was extremly well organised and everything went to plan(as far as i could tell) and their was plenty of water stations (other races please note).

The route was pleasent but NOT FLAT! ungulating with the hill at the 8/18 miles you had to put the brakes on going down.

as others have said traffic is a bit of a problem in places and for what you get (medal, bottle of water and a banana)not exactly value for money.

all in all good for the beginner or a family day out

In short: a course that makes you work
In full: this is not the easyest course but not overpowering, a well marshalled and organised race, if a bit crowded at the begininning, i would not recomend it for a pb but I did beat mine by 2min
