In short: Fairly fast and flat course
In full: A good race with definate p.b potential. A couple of very slight, brief, sections over the M5 are the only minor parts which are not flat. Good marshalls, nice momento, and great to meet an olympic gold medallist starter too.

In short: My favourite 10k
In full: What a great race to do. My second time and hope to come back a third. Picturesque village, definate p.b potential, nerve calming entertainment from the starter, perfect organisation and marshalling, and due to the nature of the course, with the four loops around the village, good numbers of support. Thanks to everyone involved.

In short: Second year doing this race and better knowing when the tough sections are coming
In full: A really enjoyable race to get you back into the rhythm if you have indulged at christmas. Found it easier this year, particularly as I knew it was fairly easy for the second part of the race. Great stewarding again. Many thanks Stratford AC

In short: Good course with a tough hill at the end.
In full: Enjoy this course and chose to travel 3 hours to have another go at it. Beat last years time by 5 minutes so I've got to be happy with that. I agree with the previous comments about the goody bags being a little minimal but the t shirt is the best one I think I've had from a race. Only real complaint is one that happens all over. Why, when there are estimated finish time markers, do people start in the wrong section. I spent the first mile stop-starting because of this. It's not exclusive to this race and I praise the organisation otherwise. Special thanks to the runner who gave my car a little shove out of the mud on the way out.

In short: All went smooth bar the weather

In short: Hot! Shouldn't be finishing with severe dehydration though.
In full: One particular issue spoiled the race for me and that was the fact that the water station at 7k had its water removed. On what was probably the hottest day of the year, I felt this was unacceptable. If there was a warning of this at the halfway point we could have kept our bottles from there. I appreciate that the weather can't be controlled but the runners need looking after. The marshall told me that the paramedics had moved them to the finish. Why? Were they bored and in need of extra work?
I really don't want to take so long complaining because the Gala day with the family and everything else in the day was very good. The race itself was ok. A few small hills and a nice trek around the showgrounds and abbey, encouraging support from the crowds, and both a t-shirt and a medal for your troubles. Hopefully the teething problem with the water can be ironed out for next year if the race returns.

In short: Flat and fairly fast race
In full: I didn't personally suffer from some of the problems others had with congestion and was able to get round in a near p.b time. There's potential to record a personal best apart from the gravel track about 8km that might slow things down a bit. From my own point of view, it was a good race. Bit gutted my mate beat me though!

In short: Tough but rewarding race
In full: A nice fairly fast first part preceeded a very difficult climb, into the wind, up to the peak of Burton Dassett hills. It was a mixture of up and downs from there to the finish. Found the race tough as I'm still feeling the back end of a cold but plodded on and took full advantage of all four water stations(thanks so much orgaisers it was very welcome).Once at the top of Burton Dassett the view was spectaculer. Nice to get support at the end from faster finishers and spectators. After a challenging run in the June sun, it definately helps. Would do this race again. Hopefully when I'm feeling a bit healthier!

In short: Hard work in the heat but still a fun race
In full: This was the first time I did this race and was dreading the permanant uphill everybody had talked about. Thankfully I only really noticed one at about 6k and a little teaser at the end where you were close enough to the finish line to not feel it. The weather however was another thing altogether! Nearly melted in the sun but managed to get the sub 50 I wanted so very pleased. Got overtook by bananaman at 8k. He must have been hot in that suit! Well worth the entry fee with both a medal and T-shirt.
