In short: Superb race.
In full: Can't really be faulted. The venue is excellent, all facilities close to hand and no time wasted running miles during transitions either.
Swim course is straight forward, the water is nice and was weed free.
Bike course pretty quick, has one small hill and a few undulations. It has plenty of well stocked feed stations, support on the course is also good. A little section near the end that is a bit rough but generally decent road surfaces.
Run course is flat. I encountered no issues with passing with it being a little narrow in parts and again is very well supplied with gels drinks etc. and support is excellent.
After finishing you are well taken care of with massage medical and food. 10/10.

In short: tougher than expected,or I'm not as fit as I thought.
In full: Course is undulating, two laps, run on roads which aren't closed but I experienced no issues with the traffic. Start was a bit narrow on the Penine Bridle Way,(changed due to road works or something) but I got in at the front and went off fast so was ok. Considering the poor weather there was loads of support on the course and it was very well marshalled. Giant puddle at the finish which was pretty much unavoidable, but was soaked thru with rain so made no difference. Good race :)

In short: cracking race
In full: Super race. Glad I decided to do it now.
Course is a good mix of terrain, mud, road, grass, woodland etc. climbs weren't to tough, but not enough downhill for me.
Nice showers(?) at the end ;)
