In short: Another great Stinger
In full: As ever one of the year's highlights. Many many thanks to all involved in putting it on; you should be very proud of a job well done.

If it's possible can we go back to the traditional route for next year; in terms of the location of checkpoint 3, the route down to Cissbury and the finish. I'm getting old and set in my ways!

In short: Great as usual - really liked the addition of mud for this year!
In full: Thanks to all those involved in putting this on. It's my third time and they've all been a pleasure. The route is great (and much better signed than last time I did this), aid stations just right, good company on the way round and one of the best finishes going. Added to all this was a huge helping of mud, which just increased the fun. Keep up the good work Worthing Rotary.

In short: Wonderful!
In full: 3rd time doing the full. It was my slowest effort in the worst weather and I loved every yard of it.

I loved the staggerd start.
I loved the mix of half and full marathon runners.
I loved the hills...up and down.
I loved the mud.
I loved the low key finish, in a sodden field.
I loved the full English breakfast.
And I loved the marshalls...god bless you all.

It's monday morning, I'm still smiling and dreaming about next year's race with gleeful anticipation.

Many thanks and very best wishes to all those involved in putting this wonderful event on.

In full: Route, directions, marshalls, checkpoints, company, weather, views, value for money all first class; congratulations to Surrey LDWA for putting this on.

In short: Great race.
In full: Thanks to everyone at Steyning AC for putting on this peach of a race. It's one of the best off roaders I've done - including a number of fell races - because of the way it brings together a really nice course, some spledidly efficient organisation and the just right scale of the thing.

I've given it a high pb ranking because in the right weather, for a fairly challenging off road race it's got enough good fast runnning to make it one the quickest you'll do.

Congratulations and keep up the good work - Raymond H

In short: Thanks once again
In full: Many thanks to Sam and all those who help him put this on; once again it was a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

If they want to chnage anything then:

1. Ask runners to keep to the off road cliff top path (not the tarmac cycle lane) between the marina and Rottingdean both on the way out and the way back; it's advertised as a trail race so this would seem to keep with the spirty of the event.

2. Place the Rottingdean water station at the top of the road by the reservoir; no need to interupt the long down hill and brings it a bit closer to the previous one.

Cheers - Raymond H

In short: Great day out
In full: Thanks to the orgasnisers, helpers, supporters and of course the other runners for a wonderful day out. The checkpoints were well stocked and efficient. The map book worked even if my map reading didn't always. The weather and the route were spot on. And the company was superb.

The only things I would change are the price; because I'm a tight so and so and am more used to low cost low key stuff (e.g. fell races such as Edale Skyline...something like £12 with a meal at the end).

And more importantly the finish. It felt shoved round the back of the Whiteair festival, didn't give supporters much of a view, was awkward and involved running on shingle. I think East Brighton park would have worked a lot better.

Cheers and thanks very much - Raymond

In short: Tough course, good climbs and lovely atmosphere.
In full: Third time for me and it doesn't get any easier. A very friendly event in terms of marshalls, organisers and other competitors; not o friendly in terms of the course itself plenty of stiff climbs and fast descents mixed in with good sections of very runable downland tracks. Thanks to all involved for another great morning out over the glorious South Downs.

In short: Hard but lots of fun.
In full: I really really liked it. It was quite hard but I really enjoyed it. I will definitely do it next year. My time was 15 mins 50 secs.

In short: Top quality low key hilly off roader.
In full: Very well organised, friendly race over some nice trails. Great views, good climbs, quick descents and consistently spot on cheery marshalling. It was a last minute decision to come over from Brighton and run, but I'm very glad I did.

See you next year - Raymond H
