In short: A great event made tough by the extreme weather conditions. Loved it again
In full: In short: The weather was to say the least rough; hail rain and a cold wind but support and marshals were brilliant.
In full: The weather made this event a tough challenge. The usually most enjoyable running part of the course, the trails, was made extremely taxing due to the huge volume of water cascading from the sky and pouring down onto the trail from the heaths. The whole course was very well marshaled and all the drink stations efficient and supportive, the provision of an energy gel and the jelly babies near the end of the run was a great needed touch.Every overhead bridge turned into a dry sheltered sanctuary from were the hardy supporters cheered runners on. A great event and all the organizers and support staff are to be congratulated for overcoming all the extreme weather difficulties thrown at them. My race pack was lost in the mail and prior to the race with no delay I was given a new number and chip. Thank you and my 60+ age prize 30th anniversary plate a lovely memento.

In short: Apart from the constant headwind a great day after weeks of rain. Enjoyed the run but the tough finish 10k had me struggling to finish.
In full: On the first dry day for ages the day proved all most perfect for a tough multi-terrain marathon. Starting in the last wave aiming for sub 4 hrs the starting pace was good. After the first 4 miles we hit the downs and, not checking my path, stepped into a deep grass covered rut. Luckily only battered my left knee and ran the rest of the 20 odd miles merrily bleeding away. The staggered start with the slowest first only had as far as I was concerned one problem as we meet the slower contestants passing them was no problem apart from in one large oilseed rape field it was impossible to pass and as a result we all walked for half a mile. A minor problem really and it was all very friendly. The last 10k of the run caused me major problems last year and I made the same mistake again; I attacked the last few hills and fell apart on the easy run down to the finish in the QE park,A 14plus minute half mile meant I again missed my sub 4 target. There is always next year. A great race well done 209.>

In short: Fantastic race value for money the course is tough over 2km ups and downs from -50m to plus 295d.
In full: This is my favourite UK marathon and I have run a few!! the organization, the location, the value for money unbelievable, the tough off road course, support and marshalling inspiring. It is a real marathon and the organizers Eden Project and St Austell runners are to be congratulated for a brilliant event I will return next year. The bager free pint after the event and the free cornish paste plus the free entry to the eden project worth more than the entry fee. Definetly not a rip off.
