In short: Good All Round Race
In full: Good Race/Route. Mainly flat so pb achievable. Finish line a bit of a bottle neck though - I was finishing faster than the person in front and got pushed back by a marshall as he thought I was trying to pinch a position - didn't realise you had to stay in line until you had been manually recorded - could do with finishing line before the final right turn before it gets narrow. Overall though one of the better races out there.

In short: A Splashing Good Run!
In full: Almost didn't run this race as the course instructions made it sound that you may well end up having to follow a map!... glad that I ran it now.
Easy to follow route - guided by plenty of marshalls - varied running surfaces, with lots of puddles this year - made it all the more fun! Liked the Bottle of wine, beer and mince pie goody bag.
Easy free parking as well - at the end of the same road as the Zoo... ... I'll be back!

In short: Unfortunately I Woz There!!!
In full: Marshalls Brilliant During the Race. Weather Atrocious.
Lack of organisation at the start and finish though. Had to ask if the marathon had been cancelled as the anouncement was not clear and it was said much too quickly as if it was something and nothing - but to me it was a few hundered pounds in travel and accomadation, and six months of training. No medal at the end? Roll on Preston Guild Marathon - October 28th - no accomadation or travel - I live there!!

In short: Nice Old Fashioned Countryside Race.
In full: Plenty of ups and downs, one steep hill in the middle, but overall testing, not not too demanding. Better if there was a start line as had to ask exactly where it was - even the starter took 10 mins to find it!!! LOL Village hall was a brilliant place to hold the event - next time I'll bring some money! as plenty of sandwiches, cakes etc etc to buy. Parking easy - large field a couple of hundred yards from the hall. Two water stations with bottled water - cheers! Marshalls excellent. A really really good race - really!

In short: Water water everywhere, but not enough to drink!
In full: Unfortunately run on probably hottest day of the year. Couldn't survive on half a cup of water. Gave up after nine miles and walked off the route. Won't be back - unless it's for a picnic! :)

In short: Overall Good Race.
In full: PB potential - get in front of the pacers at the start of the race though or you'll be blocked in - everyone congregates around the pacers and with the sea walls, it's a fight to get past them. Apart from that, and no gun at the start it was a good race. Thought we may be queing for ages to get race number and chip, but that was well organised - only took 5 mins. Plenty of parking down side roads unless you're looking to park 10 yards away from the start line! Water tables were Ok and marshalls were friendly - I think helping to take the tops of the bottles slowed things down though - bottles were good. See ya next year.

In short: Fantastic! Unbelieveable! Awesome! Grrrrrreat Race!!!
In full: Didn't think it would be this good. With so many runners you'd think it may cause a problem, but it was very slick. Crowd support was out of this world. Water stations/Lucozade/vaseline/gel stations were manned brilliantly. Run through showers were fab. Never been to a race this big but it would take some doing to beat it. Getting to London and Excel and the start line was so easy. The views are not the best, it was stunning running over tower bridge, under Canary Wharf and towards big ben, but apart from that not a huge amount to look at. Cutty Sark not on this years route - I will be back to see it though!!! See you there soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In short: Enjoyable Race.
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Did Blackpool a couple of weeks ago and that was just a big slog. I think the route was changed which helped - instead of a big slog up and down, there were several turns, running through the park, along the road and along the front at St.Annes. Didn't get to Blackpool but I think that was an improvement as that would just have been a big slog and back. Choice of KitKat, Wagon Wheel, Flapjack at the end was a nice touch. A big thanks to the marashalls as well. Great Race.

In short: Not good.
In full: Don't know how people got a pb - the wind killed the race. Can't blame the organisers got that, but no type of goody bag at the end killed the race all together for me.
