In short: Excellent race, well organised!
In full: This is a very flat fast course, I was nailed on for a pb until my hamstring decided to give up 3 miles from home, still only one minute over my previous best! In most places you don't notice the scenery because it seemed like everybody in Manchester had lined the streets, simply the most incredible support I have ever witnessed at an event, if it wasn't for the crowds I don't think I would have made it round, thanks to everyone who turned out! The baggage tents at the end ran like clockwork, the medal and t-shirt are splendid, goody bag was a bit sparse, appreciated the toothpaste but no brush?! All round excellence apart from the chip timing which was a bit chaotic, but to be honest that could have happened at any event at any time, a bit unfortunate!

In short: Rubbish but brilliant? Just brilliant I'd say!
In full: Excellent race, well organised, well marshalled and quite challenging at times! Some nice scenery interspersed with some housing estates! All in all a cracking run, definitely back next year!!!

In short: Great marathon for beginners or experienced runners!
In full: After running this marathon last year I decided I had to run it again! Although last year was very good indeed the team have learned a few lessons and this years operation was slicker and more organised, everything seemed to be where you needed it, easy to navigate, plenty of helpers about to guide you to where you needed to be! The support from the marshals, volunteers, st johns ambulance and of course the residents of the local towns and villages was incredible. The support at the end near the finish was awesome too! After race organisation was also very slick and efficient! Only problem, the showers were FREEZING! Brrrrrrr! If you have any doubts about running this marathon, forget them, a truely exceptional event. Well done everybody!!!

In short: Well organised, well marshalled, scenic but tough hills!
In full: Loved the atmosphere with plenty of runners milling about before the run chatting. Everything was well organised, almost like clockwork, everything signposted well and always someone happy to help! Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone(do a bit of uphill training though!!!).
