In short: A great race!
In full: Really enjoyable, friendly race. Lots of hills, but that's why most people do it!

A real shame so many of us got parking tickets... Bloody local council!

In short: Very muddy!
In full: The course was very muddy, but this was no problem for those in trail shoes... not sure the road shoes would have coped. Lots of bridges and some were slippery!

Did not enjoy the tunnel which was un-light an not safe for the first half.

Distance measure was same as last year... 0.2miles too long!

In short: Why cancel on the day!?
In full: I found out 5 minutes before the start that the full marathon had been cancelled due to the adverse weather. Yes, it was cold and raining, but we all knew that before turning up at the start line! We were prepared and in honesty it was not that bad! Certainly nowhere near Snowdon 2011 conditions and that was a allowed to go ahead (and was not that bad once you got going).

Marshalls were OK, although some were making inane comments like 'I'm glad I'm not running' and 'I'd rather be watching the Tele'.

Medal was cheap as chips - not even got a date on it!

In short: A quick half, but distance was not accurate!
In full: A very enjoyable race with only two small hills, making it fast!

Pace runners were hopeless, running slowly to begin with and then resorting to being far too fast to make up time.

The dustance wasca bit iffy too! 13.26 according to my Garmin!

That being said, it was a good race and the finsh in the Madejski Stadium was fantastic!

In short: An excellent 2 lap race!
In full: Very well organised. I could not believe how many marshals there were and the drink stations were great!

Definitely back next year. Pleased with a sub 2:30, but think there is more in this race...

In short: Awesome race... Will definitely do this again
In full: My first Snowdonia marathon. Awesome course with superb marshalling and drink stations.

Not even the worst weather I've ever run in could detract from how enjoyable this race was. A definite for next year!

In short: A very challenging, but enjoyable race
In full: I really enjoyed this one! 5 minutes off a PB, but that is running the forests for you!

The event was well organised and marshals were very friendly and encouraging. I'd recommend this to anyone with staying power as those hills are FULL ON!

In short: A fairly unique HM
In full: A well organised event! My only gripe is that it is not HM distance being 0.2 miles too long according to my GPS. This prevented a PB despite the bridges! I don't see why on a linear route that the start/finish could not be adjusted to give 13.1 miles exactly!?

Loved the long tunnel! I'll do it again just for this!

In short: A well organised event!
In full: A fairly flat course. Roads were open to traffic, but this actually added to the event with passing cars offering encouragement!

The last 3 miles were very tough given a strong head wind. Without this a PB would have been on the cards!

I will be back next year...

In short: An excellent event!
In full: An excellent event. Good atmosphere. No goodie! Selling t-shirts... who has £15 on them at the end of a marathon?? Said you can order on line... any idea where??
