In short: A wonderful event!
In full: I love this race. It's my favourite as it is a pure and simple event. No gimmicks,no celebs,no big prizes.A good mix of ages and experiences taking part in a pretty testing run.
The start was a bit tight and the potholes could have caused some trips so needs sorting for next year.Glad to see chip timing at last.
Marshalls and water stations as good as ever!Thank you! Support on the route seems to be growing too.
I'll be back next year!

In short: A good race
In full: Course improved on last year though a little congested around 6-8 mile point.
Very well marshalled.Thank you to the water station helpers! Plenty of room in the stadium, good facilities. Can't understand though why some idiots still pin their numbers on their backs or run with those bloody i-pod things! Be sociable!
Hope they can keep the same standard next year.

In short: Gosh it was chilly!
In full: A good way to end a good year of running for me.
Nice to see some familiar faces, though some are looking as old as me now (if not older!)
Due to other commitments I've had to miss this race for the past 6 years. Good to see that it hasn't changed a bit! Well done to everyone today!
Happy New Year for 2013!

In short: Muddy fantastic!
In full: What a wonderful, wonderful race it was! If race is the right word!
From the pre race warm up and a very moving 2 minute silence through to running and slogging with so many lovely people, this has to have been my favourite event of the year!
A massive thank you to the marshalls, water station ladies and gents, jelly bean babes and the landowners.
I hope I can get an entry for next year too!

In short: That's better!
In full: At last Cardiff has realised it's potential.
Many thanks to Steve Brace!
Very well organised and marshalled.
Couple of downers:
Arseholes with ipod things who seemed oblivious to other runners and often impeded.I make no apologies to the ones I pushed out of the way and swore at for their ignorance.
Mile markers seemed conspicuous by their absence but that could be down to my eyesight!
All in all a very good race.Thank you Cardiff and thank you all those lovely wonderful fellow runners!

In short: 23 years in a row...
In full: And it just gets better and better1
From arriving at the start, the baggage buses, the entertainment the whole pre-race build up is better than anywhere.
The race(or run)is supported by some wonderful people, from start to finish. The water stations,First Aid points, showers (not that we needed them given the rain!) and those magnificent people of Newcastle,Gateshead and South Shields.
Blooming fantastic!
There is one niggle (and it crops up year after year!).There are still those halfwits who are starting in the wrong zone. The large lady who I passed after less than a mile was wearing an ornage number for zone B.She wasn't even walking,it was a ruptured duck waddle.I suspect she was wearing a number that someone had sold on via e-bay or something.
However 'm not going to let that spoil my memories!
I'll be back next year for number 24!

In short: Another playful run...
In full: This was my 20th Hereford and, just like all the others,it was so enjoyable.Again no big names,no pretensions of being a big city half.Just a pure hard and honest half.Excellent marshalls, well managed water stations and a lovely all round atmosphere.I love it and I will be back!

In short: Oh dear...
In full: Not sure what went wrong today but the first 20 finishers were sent in the wrong direction (no marshall?).Consequently there is confusion over wether results will stand.
Good organisation at the start, smooth registration and good atmosphere.Lovely course, not too hilly (LIAR!!!).Will be back next year but please sort out the directions!

In short: A little gem
In full: Long may this lovely little race continue. No frills,no big names. An excellent group of runners of all ages and abilities, many first timers, many doing it for the 20th time.A slightly undulating course that tests!Well marshalled, well organised and a beautiful part of the World!Great t-shirt too!!

In short: Good day, shame about the weather!
In full: The course now is becoming a little overcrowded so maybe next years re-vamp willhave less bottlenecks of runners passing in opposite directions.Spoiled a little bit by some dozy bat on her bike who was weaving in and out of some runners and seemed oblivious to it all.Hacked off with those who wear i-pods and have no awarenwss that thye too are just getting in the way.If you can't hear someone bellowing "Get out of the way" then perhaps you should turn the things down (or even better, off!).Try talking to your fellow runners for once.
Marshalling was excellent, particularly arriving and leaving the car park.Water stations well manned.Could do with a finishing clock (or did I miss it?).Good memento!Let's see what next year brings!
