In short: The Hardest Half Imaginable In full: A fantastic run, the muddiest conditions ever, some of the paths were like an army assault course but iy was fantastic, a real local run with great support from a very welcoming community. Brings you back to rembering why you run, brilliant, legs are still killing me! Date of review: January 8, 2013

In short: How races should be, local, friendly and fantastic In full: A wonderful run, stunning scenery and brilliant support from all the locals supplying food on route, a really big thank you to them all, absolutely loved it and you will be pushed to find a more scenic run. Forget the pb, your garmin will probably cut out in the woods anyway but it's great. Date of review: September 18, 2012

In short: Brutally Beautiful In full: I read read the reviews and was not disappointed, fantastic run with everyone in fancy dress cheering you on. Probably the best goody bag I have ever had, running shirt, cup, nice medal, soup and a chhese and pickle roll! Forget the time, just enjoy being out. This is what runs should be all about, a bit thanks to Rob and everyone at Trionium. Bring on the Leith Hill half marathon but I want to do this every year now. Date of review: January 2, 2012

In short: A brilliant trail run, you will never want to run on roads again In full: Being a convert to trail running this was a real gem. Easy to get to, park at the start, low key and friendly but a gorgeous route, very hard but very enjoyable. Running down a hill at the finish was the perfect finale. Great organisation and congratulations to the organisers, very supportive. This is what trail runs should all be about and I will definitely be bag for the slog half marathon in July. In short: Fantastic, how races used to be In full: This is a fantastic run, very friendly, low key, great to see so many non elite runners being cheered on. In an age of stupid entry prices, inappropriate goody bags and overly competive entrants this is a real throwback. The route is smashing, no problems parking, just the right size, no crowding and plenty of space to bring the kids to cheer you on. A wooden medal, quality shirt and apples at the finish. Forget the obsession of chasing a pb on boring tarmac dodging cars with a load of nutters. Remind yourself why you run and enjoy it. Well done to Dr. Rob and the crew, I'm already planning my next race with them. Brilliant. Date of review: September 22, 2010
