In short: Well organised (at last...). Great race In full: Finally! The York 10K Run for All was well organised. No traffic problems getting parked, even when arriving at 8am. Well planned start with joggers being walked into the pens in a steady way, so not standing around for ages. And beautiful scenery. I did a PB (chuffed!) Date of review: August 15, 2013
In short: Great route, support and scenery. Please, please fix the parking problems! In full: Great route this year - felt like we were touring York on foot at, well, speed(ish). Excellent support from the crowd too.
The bouncy bridge towards the end was weird though - the surface bounces as runners pound over it. I staggered over it, clinging to the handrail, feeling dizzy (it was the 8K point so maybe my legs were wobbly anyway...?!)
The parking problems really need to be fixed tho - start later to allow people to arrive by train or park and ride and then walk to the start. But then put on some facilities for supporters at the start - 1 tea/coffee place and one food place wasn't enough.
An excellent race overall but the parking problems this year and last might put me off in future.
