In short: First time marathon, extremely impressive organisation, fast course In full: This was my first marathon and the organisation was so well done that I felt like an old-stager. Everything was well laid out in the tented village, start and finish lines were easy to find and positioned well and there were plenty of toilets and other facilities such as food etc.
The course is set in very beautiful countryside, mostly flat, but there are a couple of climbs near the end which add a bit of spice. Still, I was happy to get under four hours in my first marathon. Support all around the course was excellent especially given the rural location. Everything was so smooth that I would certainly do it all again. Well done Andy and Chris.
