3000m for me on Tuesday at local open meet. 10.50.3 was a 17s improvement on my league outing a few weeks back, but more importantly I didn't pace it like a twat, so this time my lap splits were all within about a second of each other, whereas last time they went from a fastest of about 82s to a slowest of about 92s. Sadly the fastest one was first. This time: evenly paced and felt strong throughout. Hurrah!
Open track meet on Tuesday and did the 3,000m in remarkably cool conditions. Pleased to run 17s faster than last time (10.50.3 this time around) and lap splits were all within about 1s of each other, so pace judgement was much better than last time, where I think my splits were anything from 82-92s! Fingers crossed I can get under 10.45 next time (pb is 10.46, plus 15s barriers are quite tempting in short track races).
Greetings, thread. I spent most of the weekend playing the violin (3 hours Friday, 3 hours rehearsal + 2 hour concert Saturday, 3 hours Sunday) but squeezed in 10 miles with a parkrun pb on Saturday and then 15 miles on Sunday to bring up a huge 50 miles for the week. Knee seems to be behaving more or less.
Nice track running from Padams, PP and SC. Nice hills from SL and nice marathon from DanA in less than ideal conditions.
